M-02 combines trend rails, market structure, key price locations, momentum, volatility, and volume into an entry score, while also providing structural signals and a reference trade plan.
It is designed for traders who want to use a score panel to assess market conditions at a glance, then review the price structure to check entry, SL, and TP levels.
What can I use M-02 for?
M-02 can help you assess whether the current market environment is bullish, bearish, or ranging, while tracking BOS (break of structure), CHoCH (change of character), the structure path, and key pivots.
You can also use it to assess whether price is still near a potential entry area and use supply and demand zones, volume distribution, or smart levels to better understand price location.
How to read the chart layers and panels
1. Chart layers
The trend rails use bullish and bearish colors to indicate areas of support or pressure around price. The structure path connects confirmed key points.
Optional chart layers include structure labels, trend lines, support and resistance zones, volume distribution, the reference trade plan, and a market-condition heatmap.
2. Entry score panel
The entry score panel is enabled by default and summarizes the current setup in one place.
It includes the overall score and bull, bear, or range direction, together with the current prime, active, wait, or risk status.
The panel also breaks the score into structure, proximity, session, and momentum components and may display entry window, watchlist, or no entry depending on current conditions.
You can also use the panel to review the latest structural signal, its fresh, valid, or stale status, and reference levels for the stop loss and first target.
3. Smart levels panel
The optional smart levels panel provides additional context. It can display the direction of the tracked structure, latest signal, support and resistance, price location, reference trade plan, and confirmation status.
Suggested reading sequence
1. Start with the market environment. Check whether M-02 shows bull, bear, or range before focusing on the total score.
2. Check the structure. Review the latest BOS or CHoCH and see whether it agrees with the trend rails.
3. Check the location. Review proximity and the entry window to determine whether price is still in a reasonable area.
4. Review the risk. Check the reference stop loss and target levels before deciding whether the potential trade fits your risk tolerance.
5. Look for additional confirmation. Use a lower-panel momentum or price-volume indicator to see whether it supports the same view.
Settings overview
M-02 settings include:
-
Pivot left- and right-side confirmation lengths
-
Display density
-
Structure and signal label limits
-
Zone and volume-distribution parameters
-
Layer extensions
-
Trend rails
-
Reference trade plan
-
Entry score panel
-
Smart levels panel
-
Heatmap
Shorter pivot settings generally make the indicator more sensitive to smaller market moves, while higher display density shows more information on the chart.
When adjusting settings, consider changing one group at a time and using chart replay to compare the results.
Confirmation and replay
Pivots, BOS, and CHoCH require confirmation from closed candles to the right of the turning point. Signals may therefore appear several candles after the actual high or low.
Once a reference plan has been confirmed, its entry, SL, and TP levels remain stable within that plan. The levels change only when a new structural plan is confirmed.
During chart replay, M-02 displays these structures, signals, and plans only after the required confirmation conditions would have been met at that historical point. Future candles are not used to confirm signals early.
M-02 limitations and risks
1. Entry score is not a probability
The entry score is a weighted rule-based score. It is not a probability model, historical win rate, or guarantee of a profitable trade.
2. Prime does not guarantee a successful setup
A prime status indicates that more of the indicator's current conditions are aligned. The setup can still fail, particularly during ranging markets, major news events, or changes in liquidity.
3. Structural references do not guarantee a reversal
Support and resistance zones, volume distribution, and structural paths depend on historical data and the selected parameters. They do not mean that price must reverse when it reaches those areas.
4. Pivot confirmation creates a delay
Pivot confirmation helps reduce changes caused by unconfirmed structures, but it also introduces an unavoidable delay. A structural turning point may therefore be visible on the chart before M-02 can confirm it.
FAQs
1. Why is the score high when the market is still showing range?
Some of the conditions used by M-02 may be favorable even while the broader directional environment remains range-bound. In this situation, prioritize a confirmed structural breakout or retest rather than making a decision based on the score alone.
2. What do fresh, valid, and stale mean?
These states indicate how recently the latest structural signal occurred relative to the current candle. They describe how recent the signal is, not whether the signal is necessarily valid or invalid.
3. Why does a turning point appear several candles late?
Pivots require confirmation from candles to the right of the turning point. During chart replay, M-02 waits until those candles would actually have been available before displaying the confirmed structure. It does not use future data to identify the turning point early.
