New crypto wallet lists stock meme tokens

2026-08-04 02:31

A new “stock meme” category in a major crypto wallet is putting meme coins and tokenized U.S. equities into the same liquidity pools, creating a trading format where a token’s price is tied to both internet-driven speculation and the market performance of assets linked to companies such as SpaceX and Nvidia.

The category displayed seven tokens with market capitalizations above $1 million on Aug. 4, according to the wallet’s interface. Only four had exceeded $5 million: MarsCoin, Bi You, GPU and JACKET. Unlike conventional BNB Chain meme coins, which commonly trade against BNB or USDT, these tokens use tokenized stock products as their paired liquidity asset.

That structure means traders seeking to buy or sell the meme tokens must trade through pools containing assets such as SPCXB, NVDAB and SPYB. Those ticker-like tokens are designed to track or represent exposure to U.S. equities or equity-linked funds. The meme coins themselves do not confer stock ownership, shareholder rights, or a commercial relationship with the companies referenced in their branding.

MarsCoin leads the early stock meme market

MarsCoin has emerged as the largest token in the group, with a market capitalization around $30 million in the Aug. 4 snapshot after previously rising above $50 million. The token is issued through Flap and trades in a pool paired with SPCXB, a tokenized asset associated with SpaceX.

Its mechanics go beyond the trading pair. MarsCoin applies a 3% tax to purchases and sales, with part of the collected fee converted into SPCXB and distributed to holders who satisfy the project’s stated balance requirements. That gives qualifying holders an additional reason to retain the token, while also directing transaction activity toward the SpaceX-linked pool asset.

The token attracted wider attention on July 30, when Changpeng Zhao, co-founder of Binance, discussed meme-coin trading on X. Zhao wrote that he supports all meme coins and might buy or sell one or two tokens in the following weeks to test new content. MarsCoin was added to Binance Alpha on the same day.

The timing helped bring attention to a format that has since spread beyond a single token. MarsCoin’s reported market value has moved sharply between snapshots, underscoring the volatility facing traders in a market where the meme asset can swing independently of the stock-linked asset held in the same pool.

Four.meme adds stock-linked launch option

Four.meme introduced a “stock meme” option after MarsCoin gained traction, allowing token creators to choose tokenized U.S. stock assets as the base side of a liquidity pool. The feature initially included NVDAB, an on-chain asset linked to Nvidia stock, with the platform indicating that additional ticker options could follow.

GPU was among the early tokens associated with that model. Launched on Four.meme, it trades against NVDAB and reached a market capitalization above $35 million at its peak before falling to about $11 million in the latest figure provided. Each trade in the GPU-NVDAB pool creates demand for the paired stock token as well as the meme coin, connecting the liquidity conditions of both assets.

JACKET, listed under the full name REAL WORLD APPAREL, uses the same NVDAB base asset. Built around a black leather jacket visual theme, it reached roughly $10 million at its high and was last shown near $6 million. Its presence alongside GPU demonstrates that the format is already being used for tokens with no obvious thematic connection to the equity underlying the pool.

Bi You takes a different route. The Flap-issued token, whose name abbreviates a longer Chinese slogan, trades against SPYB, a tokenized asset tied to an S&P 500 ETF. Its market capitalization previously reached $16 million and was shown near $11 million on Aug. 4.

Liquidity providers face two market risks

The stock meme format changes the risk profile for liquidity providers. In a conventional meme-coin pool paired with USDT, one side of the pool is intended to remain relatively stable. A pool paired with a tokenized equity asset can move on both sides: the meme coin may react to social-media attention, while the base token may respond to earnings, macroeconomic news, sector selloffs, or changes in the underlying stock market.

A fall in a technology-linked stock token, for example, could reduce the value of an NVDAB-based pool even if the associated meme coin holds its price in token terms. A sudden surge in the meme coin can also alter the pool’s composition, leaving liquidity providers with a different balance of assets than they initially deposited.

That does not create direct ownership of Nvidia, SpaceX or an S&P 500 fund for meme-coin holders. The exposure comes from the pool design and the behavior of the paired on-chain asset, rather than from the meme token’s legal or economic claim on a company.

The model also adds smart-contract and token-issuer risk. Traders and liquidity providers need to assess the terms governing the tokenized stock asset, the liquidity-pool contract, transaction taxes where applicable, and any conditions attached to reward distributions. A token may carry a familiar corporate ticker while relying on entirely separate on-chain rules.

A test of whether equity-linked meme trading can retain liquidity

Early market caps suggest that traders are willing to experiment with meme coins priced through stock-linked pools, but the category remains concentrated. MarsCoin, Bi You, GPU and JACKET accounted for the only tokens above $5 million in the Aug. 4 category view, leaving limited evidence that the format has developed deep, durable liquidity across a large group of assets.

The more immediate test will be whether trading continues after the initial novelty fades and whether token creators use the Four.meme launch option to build pools around a wider range of equity-linked assets. Sustained activity would make tokenized stocks a recurring base asset for speculative launches on BNB Chain. Weak liquidity or abrupt moves in either side of the pools would expose how difficult it is to combine high-volatility meme trading with equity-market-linked collateral.
