Bitget has rolled out a major upgrade to its “US Stocks 2.0” platform, introducing a proprietary real-world asset protocol called Reality that enables tokenized trading of U.S. equities with direct routing to the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.
The system executes orders within milliseconds and is designed to eliminate price spreads and slippage, aiming to replicate traditional brokerage execution while operating on blockchain infrastructure.

Bitget said on-chain tokens representing U.S. stocks are fully backed by underlying equities held in custody, with 24-hour monitoring conducted by U.S.-licensed auditor The Network Firm. Auditors have direct access to brokerage accounts and reconcile holdings against token supply, issuing daily and monthly verification reports.
Any discrepancy that results in less than full collateralization would trigger immediate disclosure. Dividend payouts follow a 30% U.S. withholding tax, while capital gains tax does not apply under the tokenized structure. Users can also transfer rTokens to external blockchain wallets and still receive automated dividends.

The launch comes amid rapid expansion in the tokenized real-world asset sector. The broader RWA market grew from $5.42 billion at the start of 2025 to $19.32 billion by the first quarter of 2026, while tokenized equities alone reached a market capitalization of $490 million.
Trading activity has also accelerated, with $15.1 billion in spot volume recorded in the first quarter of 2026, surpassing the $14.8 billion traded in the second half of 2025. Bitget’s initiative positions it within a competitive field that includes other platforms offering tokenized U.S. stock access.
product features and near-term roadmap
Company executives Jia and Thomas outlined several upcoming features scheduled for June, including expanded order book access for VIP clients, unified accounts, and weekend trading for a selection of 20 U.S. equities. Automated strategy tools and copy trading are also expected to launch later in the month.
To strengthen execution during volatile conditions, Bitget plans to integrate high-frequency trading connections on Wall Street. The platform also reports maintaining reserves exceeding 100% along with a $300 million protection fund to safeguard user assets during extreme market events.

Reality was developed internally after limitations with a previous third-party solution restricted trade sizes and slowed execution speeds. According to Jia, live testing showed price execution aligned with conventional brokers.
The company expects to list around 500 major U.S. stocks within a week, covering roughly 98% of total market trading volume.

Bitget is integrating real-time market data and analytics through partnerships with U.S. providers, alongside onboarding education teams and analysts with traditional finance backgrounds to support new participants.
Looking ahead, the firm plans to enable on-chain equity trading through Web3 wallets and introduce API access for professional trading groups. The broader goal is to create a unified platform that allows continuous access across traditional equities and digital assets.
