KYC can sometimes feel like an extra step, especially if you are not sure whether you actually need to complete it.
On Toobit, you can still deposit and trade spot and futures without completing KYC. Verification becomes important when you want to access certain features or higher account privileges, such as buying crypto with fiat or increasing your withdrawal limit.
KYC also helps us meet Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) compliance requirements.
So, what exactly changes when you complete KYC, how long does verification take, and what should you do if your application is rejected?
Here is what you need to know.
Do you need KYC to trade on Toobit?
No. Under our current rules, you do not need to complete KYC to deposit funds or trade spot and futures on Toobit.
However, your verification status affects some of the features, limits, and rewards available to your account.
We currently have three account states:
-
Registration: 24-hour withdrawal limit of 5 BTC
-
Basic verification: 24-hour withdrawal limit of 5 BTC
-
Advanced verification: 24-hour withdrawal limit of 50 BTC
Both basic and advanced verification allow you to buy crypto with fiat, while this feature is not available to unverified accounts.
Verification may also affect your access to rewards. Basic verification may unlock more Trial Funds and Bonus vouchers, while advanced verification may provide access to broader event rewards and higher reward eligibility under the applicable campaign rules.
If you buy crypto through a third-party service provider, keep in mind that the provider may also require you to complete its own identity verification.
In other words, KYC is not required to start trading, but it can expand what you can do with your account.
How do you complete KYC on Toobit?
To start, log in to your account, open your profile, and go to the identity verification page.
From there:
-
Select your country or region.
-
Choose your document type.
-
Upload the required ID documents.
-
Complete facial recognition using your device camera.
-
Submit your information for review.
Once you submit your application, we will review the information and send the result by email. You can also track your verification status from the account overview.
If you are not sure which level you need, our verification benefits guide provides a broader overview of what each verification level offers.
How long does KYC verification take?
Most verification applications are reviewed within about 15 minutes.
However, some applications may take up to 48 hours if additional identity checks are required. Advanced verification may take 1 to 3 business days.
If your verification is still pending, you can continue depositing and trading. A pending review mainly affects the features and limits that require a particular verification level.
So, if your application is taking longer than 15 minutes, it does not necessarily mean something went wrong. Some applications simply require more time to review.
What happens if your KYC application is rejected?
A rejected application does not necessarily mean you cannot complete KYC.
If your first attempt is rejected, you can correct the issue and submit your documents again. Your new submission will automatically go back into review, so you do not need to open a separate request just to restart the process.
If your resubmission is approved, your verification level and withdrawal limit will update automatically.
You can make up to two verification attempts within 24 hours. If both attempts are rejected, you will need to wait another 24 hours before trying again.
This limit helps protect the review process and reduce repeated submissions that do not meet the verification requirements.
Why does KYC verification fail?
Most KYC issues are related to document quality, facial recognition, or conflicting account information.
Common reasons include:
-
blurry or cropped ID images
-
glare or overexposure
-
failed facial recognition
-
unsupported document types
-
screenshots or photocopies instead of original documents
-
verification information already associated with another account
-
information that does not meet applicable Terms of Service requirements, such as age or jurisdiction restrictions
Before submitting again, check that your documents are original, valid, clear, and fully visible. Your account information should also match the information shown on your documents.
If your goal is to increase your withdrawal limit, you can also learn how to increase it before resubmitting.
How do you increase your withdrawal limit?
If you want to increase your withdrawal limit, you need to complete advanced verification.
Under the current policy:
Registration or basic verification → 5 BTC per 24 hours
Advanced verification → 50 BTC per 24 hours
If you withdraw another asset, its value is converted into BTC using the real-time exchange rate when your withdrawal limit is calculated.
This means you do not need to be withdrawing BTC itself for the BTC-denominated limit to apply.
Does a third-party fiat provider require separate KYC?
It may.
If you purchase crypto through an external fiat service provider, that provider may have its own identity checks and verification requirements.
This is separate from Toobit's own KYC process.
So, if a third-party provider asks you for additional verification, it does not mean your Toobit verification status has changed. It simply means the service you are using has its own requirements.
What should you check before submitting KYC?
A few simple checks can help you avoid unnecessary delays.
Before submitting your application, make sure:
-
your ID is original and valid
-
your document photos are clear and uncropped
-
there is no glare or overexposure
-
your face is clearly visible and well lit during facial recognition
-
your account information matches your documents
-
you are using a supported document type
-
you have selected the verification level that matches what you need

Toobit KYC at a glance
The most important point is that KYC is not required to deposit or trade Spot and Futures on Toobit.
Verification mainly determines which additional features, limits, and eligible rewards you can access.
If you only want to start trading, you can do so without completing KYC. If you want to buy crypto with fiat, increase your withdrawal limit, or access features and rewards that require verification, you may need to complete basic or advanced verification.
Knowing which verification level you need, preparing your documents carefully, and checking the requirements before submitting can make the process much more straightforward.
