WEEX used TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026 to showcase AI-assisted trading tools and expand its outreach to trading communities, returning as a platinum sponsor for the third consecutive year at Marina Bay Sands on Oct. 7 and 8.
The platform’s on-site presentation centered on its AI Trading feature, which lets users enter chat-style prompts in a simulated trading environment. Visitors could test the tool through a practice account rather than placing live orders, giving the company a controlled setting to demonstrate how its software interprets trading-related instructions.
WEEX also hosted a two-day livestream from the event, combining product demonstrations with interactive challenges and USDT reward campaigns. The format connected the conference floor with an online audience, reflecting the increasing role of livestreaming and community-led promotion in how trading platforms market products and recruit users.
AI tools took center stage at the booth
The AI Trading demonstrations were the clearest product focus of WEEX’s TOKEN2049 presence. Chat-based trading interfaces are designed to reduce the number of manual steps required to search for markets, interpret basic trading inputs, or prepare an order. Their usefulness depends heavily on how clearly users understand the tool’s limits, particularly when markets move quickly or when a prompt could be interpreted in more than one way.
WEEX paired the demonstration with a “Trading MBTI” activity that sorted visitors by trading habits, risk preferences, and decision-making styles. The exercise gave the booth a lighter, consumer-facing feature while directing attention back to the behavioral side of trading. Risk tolerance and decision-making discipline often determine outcomes as much as access to faster software, especially in derivatives markets where leverage can magnify losses.
The company said its product range includes cryptocurrency spot and derivatives markets as well as traditional financial products including stocks, ETFs, gold, and crude oil. WEEX describes that approach as “One Account. All Markets,” positioning the platform around multi-asset access rather than crypto-only trading.
Dubai trading house plans linked to creator outreach
During the livestream, WEEX connected with employees in Dubai to outline plans for a “Trading House” intended for key opinion leaders, commonly known as KOLs. According to the company, the facility would provide trading hardware, livestreaming equipment, content-production resources, and an interactive AI trading robot.
The proposal places content creators closer to product marketing and education efforts. Crypto platforms have increasingly relied on livestreams, social-media personalities, and local communities to reach retail traders, particularly in regions where traditional advertising channels face tighter restrictions or offer less engagement.
A physical production site could give WEEX a dedicated location for broadcasts and trading-focused content rather than relying exclusively on short-term conference activations. The company did not provide a launch date for the Dubai site in its event summary.
Meetings targeted projects, media, and trading partners
WEEX operated an “Alpha Suite” at TOKEN2049 for meetings with KOLs, media organizations, Web3 projects, and other industry participants. Andrew Weiner, chief operating officer of WEEX, attended discussions involving trading platforms, blockchain projects, and organizations working across the sector, the company said.
Conference sponsorships have become a central channel for exchanges and other market infrastructure firms seeking commercial partnerships. TOKEN2049 Singapore draws protocol developers, venture firms, market makers, custody providers, media groups, and trading platforms, giving companies a concentrated setting to pursue listings, integrations, regional partnerships, and brand exposure.
WEEX also collaborated with the Pudgy Penguins community on limited co-branded merchandise distributed around the conference. The company participated in an event titled “Inside the Igloo,” extending its presence into one of the more visible NFT-linked communities attending the Singapore gathering.
Company cites global expansion and broad market coverage
WEEX said it serves more than 10 million users in over 170 countries and regions, with more than 2,700 tradable markets. It said these include crypto instruments alongside more than 400 traditional-finance products.
The company also reported participating in or hosting 34 events across 21 cities in 17 countries through September 2026, generating more than 160,000 in-person interactions. Those figures come from WEEX and were not independently verified in its event announcement.
Founded in 2018, WEEX said it offers leverage of up to 400 times on certain products, 0% maker fees on selected contract pairs, and a user protection fund of 1,000 BTC. The company also said it ranks among the top two platforms globally for Bitcoin perpetual-contract liquidity, without detailing the methodology behind that ranking.
The TOKEN2049 program shows WEEX placing AI features, simulated product access, creator-focused media production, and multi-asset trading under the same expansion strategy. For users, the practical issue remains whether convenience features encourage more disciplined trading or simply make high-risk products easier to access. Practice accounts can help users test workflows, but they cannot replicate the pressure, slippage, and liquidation risk involved in live leveraged positions.
