Three crypto projects open new participation windows

2026-09-11 09:05

BULK, Fables and Polaris have each opened new participation phases, offering traders and liquidity providers access to early trading, points, or testnet activity across three distinct areas of decentralized finance: low-latency perpetual futures, tokenized-asset liquidity, and on-chain yield products.

The most developed rollout is BULK’s invite-only mainnet launch on Solana. The perpetuals platform said on Sept. 5 that it had moved from a pre-deposit program into its Genesis trading phase, converting deposited USDC into trading margin for eligible users. The Genesis phase is scheduled to run through Oct. 5, with zero maker fees and AURA points awarded for trading activity.

BULK’s launch places execution speed at the center of its pitch. Rather than submitting orders through Solana’s conventional transaction flow, the project says its matching engine operates inside validator nodes through a component called Bulk-Tile. BULK claims the design can match orders in 20 milliseconds and confirm them within 40 milliseconds.

Those figures have yet to establish a long-term record under sustained market stress, but the architecture reflects a familiar challenge for on-chain perpetual exchanges: attracting active traders who expect execution closer to centralized venues while preserving on-chain settlement. By integrating matching more tightly with validator infrastructure, BULK is seeking to reduce the delays that can make decentralized derivatives difficult to use during volatile periods.

Bulk pairs mainnet access with AURA points

The invite system limits immediate access to users with an invitation code, while the points program gives the initial trading period a second purpose beyond testing the platform’s liquidity and execution. BULK has said activity during Genesis qualifies users for AURA points, though the supplied launch details do not set out a full allocation formula.

BULK reported roughly $22 million in trading volume during its first day after launch. The platform also said its chief executive, McGlashan, viewed that opening activity as stronger than the early trading volumes recorded by several established competitors. Early volume can indicate demand, but it can also be influenced by incentives, a small number of active accounts, and the limited-access structure of a launch.

The project previously announced an $8 million seed round in late September 2025, led by 6th Man Ventures and Robot Ventures. Big Brain Holdings, Wintermute, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, and others participated, according to BULK. The financing brought market-making and Solana ecosystem names behind a platform entering an increasingly crowded perpetuals sector.

BULK’s early rollout has also included operational friction. According to the supplied information, a pricing issue prompted the platform’s chief technology officer, Peel, to arrange compensation for affected users. That episode gives prospective participants a practical reminder that fast matching infrastructure, leverage, and a newly launched trading venue can combine to produce risks that are not captured by fee incentives or points campaigns.

Fables targets tokenized-asset liquidity on Robinhood Chain

Fables is taking a different route, focusing on decentralized exchange liquidity for tokenized stocks, ETFs, gold and ETH on Robinhood Chain. The project uses Uniswap v4 Hooks, a framework that allows developers to add custom logic to liquidity pools. In Fables’ case, that logic includes adjustable fees intended to respond to changing market conditions.

Its points campaign began on Aug. 24 and is scheduled to conclude on Oct. 5. Fables said it will distribute 1 billion points during the six-week campaign, with a token generation event planned after the program ends.

The structure is designed around a problem specific to tokenized versions of traditional assets. Crypto markets operate continuously, while the underlying equity and ETF markets have defined trading hours. When a stock market is closed, tokenized representations can continue changing hands, leaving liquidity providers exposed to prices that may differ from the next available reference price in the traditional market.

Adjustable pool fees could help compensate liquidity providers for that risk by charging more when price uncertainty rises. The mechanism does not remove the possibility of sharp repricing when underlying markets reopen, especially for thinly traded tokenized assets. It instead gives pools a way to alter the cost of trading as conditions change.

Fables’ campaign also arrives while on-chain real-world assets remain a competitive segment. The supplied tracking data puts 30-day real-world-asset flows on the relevant network at nearly $348 million. Such flows do not by themselves show sustained demand for any individual exchange, but they provide a market context for protocols competing to host liquidity in tokenized securities and commodities.

Polaris tests yield products built around pETH

Polaris has opened a testnet for a permissionless yield protocol centered on pETH, an interest-bearing reserve asset. The project also lists USDp and GOLDp among its planned product set, aiming to offer on-chain assets with native yield mechanisms.

The testnet interface includes Swap, Mint and Earn functions. Polaris directs users to obtain Sepolia ETH, a testnet token with no intended market value, before trying the system. Testnet activity allows users to interact with the minting and yield functions without deploying capital on a production network.

Polaris said on Sept. 4 that it had raised $1 million in an angel round. Participants included the Ethereum Foundation, Fusion under IPOR, Altitude, Liquity and LI.FI, according to the project.

The protocol’s proposed yield model relies on a bonding curve designed to capture returns from price movements rather than from conventional holdings such as government debt. That approach would distinguish Polaris from stablecoin products whose returns are linked more directly to off-chain Treasury yields, lending markets, or other external income sources. The eventual performance of such a mechanism will depend on its design, collateral framework, liquidity and behavior in adverse market conditions.

Together, the three launches show how participation programs are being used to bootstrap new financial infrastructure before wider access. BULK is testing whether validator-integrated execution can attract perpetuals volume; Fables is attempting to price liquidity risk in round-the-clock tokenized markets; and Polaris is inviting users to test a yield model before production deployment. Their early October campaign deadlines create a concentrated period for users willing to experiment with new protocols, while the incomplete operating history of each product leaves risk management as relevant as reward eligibility.
