MetaMask connects to four TRON dApps

2026-09-10 16:12

TRON DAO said four applications in the TRON ecosystem—B.AI, SUN.io, JustLend DAO and BitTorrent—have added MetaMask connectivity to their decentralized applications, extending access to some of the network’s largest trading, lending and cross-chain services through one of crypto’s most widely used wallets.

The integrations follow MetaMask’s addition of native TRON network support earlier in 2026 across its mobile app and browser extension. Users who have enabled TRON in MetaMask can now connect their wallets directly to the four applications, manage TRON-based assets and approve on-chain actions without moving funds to a separate wallet interface.

The rollout places MetaMask at the entry point for services spanning decentralized exchange trading, collateralized lending, staking, AI-agent infrastructure, cross-chain transfers and decentralized storage. For TRON, whose activity is heavily concentrated in USDT transfers, the wallet connection gives established applications a route to users already familiar with MetaMask’s transaction-signing system.

Four applications target different TRON services

SUN.io said MetaMask users can connect to SunSwap V4, its decentralized trading platform on TRON. The project reported more than $650 million in total value locked, or TVL, a measure of crypto assets deposited in a protocol’s smart contracts.

Decentralized exchanges such as SunSwap allow users to trade assets from self-custodied wallets rather than deposit them with a centralized platform. The MetaMask integration would allow users to interact with SunSwap V4’s liquidity pools and token swaps through the same wallet used for other supported networks.

JustLend DAO, TRON’s lending protocol, said it has more than $7 billion in TVL and supports lending, borrowing and staking. Lending platforms generally allow users to deposit digital assets to earn returns or use deposited collateral to borrow other assets. Connecting the protocol to MetaMask could simplify access for users holding TRON-based tokens in the wallet.

B.AI is building financial infrastructure intended to give AI agents on-chain identities capable of transacting and executing actions. The announcement did not provide usage figures for B.AI, but its inclusion expands MetaMask connectivity beyond established DeFi services and into applications designed for automated on-chain activity.

BitTorrent’s integration covers services associated with BitTorrent Chain, or BTTC, and the BitTorrent File System, known as BTFS. BTTC provides cross-chain functionality, while BTFS is designed for decentralized file storage. The connection gives MetaMask users a wallet pathway to those tools alongside TRON-native DeFi applications.

Stablecoin settlement remains the network’s core use case

TRON DAO described the blockchain as a settlement layer for stablecoins, reporting more than $23 billion in average daily transfer volume and more than $94 billion in circulating USDT on the network. Those figures underline why wallet support has practical implications beyond token trading: a large share of TRON activity involves moving dollar-pegged tokens.

USDT’s supply on TRON has grown into one of the network’s defining features. A wallet interface that supports TRON directly can reduce friction for users who want to receive, hold, swap, lend or transfer USDT while also using applications built on the chain.

TRON DAO separately cited TRONSCAN data showing that, as of September 2026, the network had more than 402 million total user accounts, over 15 billion transactions and more than $27 billion in TVL. Account totals do not necessarily represent individual users, since a person or organization can control multiple addresses, but the figures show the scale of activity that application developers can address through a widely recognized wallet.

The new connections also arrive as TRON-based protocols compete for stablecoin balances that might otherwise remain idle in wallets. SunSwap liquidity pools and JustLend markets give users places to deploy those holdings, while the MetaMask connection makes the transition from asset custody to application use more direct.

MetaMask expands its multi-network reach

MetaMask is developed by Consensys, the software company founded in 2014 by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin. Its products include MetaMask, the Linea network and developer infrastructure provider Infura.

MetaMask began as an Ethereum-focused wallet but has steadily expanded its network support as users and applications have spread across multiple blockchains. Native TRON support is consequential because TRON uses an account model and transaction environment distinct from Ethereum-compatible networks, even though many users approach both chains through similar activities such as stablecoin transfers and decentralized finance.

For TRON application developers, integration with MetaMask may lower the onboarding burden for people who already have the wallet installed for other crypto activity. It does not eliminate the risks associated with self-custody or smart-contract interactions. Users still need to verify the application URL, inspect transaction prompts and understand token approval permissions before signing.

Liquidity data will show whether access converts into use

The immediate measure of the integration’s traction will be activity inside the connected protocols rather than the announcement itself. Changes in SunSwap liquidity, JustLend deposits and borrowing demand, and BTTC transaction use could indicate whether MetaMask users are bringing new funds into TRON applications or simply gaining an additional way to access existing positions.

TRON’s scale in USDT settlement gives the four integrations a sizeable base of potential users, but wallet availability alone does not guarantee deeper DeFi participation. Lending and exchange protocols must still compete on liquidity, execution, yields, collateral rules and security practices.

The rollout nevertheless connects MetaMask’s established wallet interface to a concentrated set of TRON services at a time when the network is handling tens of billions of dollars in reported daily stablecoin transfers. If the integrations increase movement from simple USDT transfers into on-chain trading and lending, the effect should become visible first in protocol TVL, swap liquidity and transaction activity recorded on TRON.
