The week of Oct. 12–18 will place U.S. inflation data alongside a dense set of crypto-market deadlines, from Ravencoin’s removal from Upbit to Kalshi’s planned liquidity-program wind-down, Unichain’s testnet migration, and the final trading session for the Bitwise Dogecoin ETF. The September consumer price index, due Oct. 14, stands out as the calendar’s main macroeconomic event ahead of the Federal Reserve’s Oct. 27–28 policy meeting.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to release September CPI and core CPI figures at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time on Oct. 14, or 20:30 Beijing time. Core CPI excludes food and energy prices and is closely watched for indications of underlying inflation. The data will arrive during a period when rate expectations remain a major driver for risk assets, including digital assets, technology shares, and listed companies holding cryptocurrency on their balance sheets.
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh is also scheduled to appear in a moderated conversation at the International Monetary Fund’s annual meeting in Bangkok on Oct. 16. The appearance falls before the Fed’s pre-meeting communications blackout period, giving markets one of the last scheduled opportunities to assess the central bank’s public messaging before the October policy decision.
XRP treasury firm prepares Nasdaq debut
Evernorth, an XRP treasury company, completed its business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II on Oct. 9, according to an 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The transaction is expected to bring the company to Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN beginning next Monday.
The completed deal places approximately 473 million XRP and $300 million in cash proceeds inside a publicly traded corporate structure, based on the company’s disclosures. The listing would add another vehicle for equity-market participants seeking exposure to a company whose balance sheet is closely tied to a single digital asset.
Crypto treasury companies have become a more prominent feature of public markets as firms use listed shares, private placements, and debt financing to accumulate tokens. Their equity prices can diverge sharply from the underlying asset because they also reflect capital structure, dilution risk, operating expenses, and the market’s valuation of the treasury strategy.
Kalshi incentives and Strive warrants reach deadlines
Kalshi’s liquidity incentive program may end as early as Oct. 13, according to filings with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The program distributes rewards from a pool based on participants’ shares of eligible trading volume.
Liquidity programs are commonly used by venues to encourage trading activity and tighter market pricing, particularly in newer contracts. Their end can alter the economics for market makers and high-volume participants, depending on whether the platform replaces the incentives with another program.
Strive has also extended the exercise deadline for certain private-investment-in-public-equity, or PIPE, warrants to 5 p.m. Eastern time on Oct. 13. The company said the date was adjusted because Oct. 12 is Columbus Day, a federal bank holiday.
As of Sept. 11, Strive reported that warrants with an aggregate value of $718 million and an exercise price of $27 remained unexercised. The deadline gives holders a final window to decide whether to pay the exercise price for shares, a choice that can affect the company’s cash inflows and future share count.
Upbit ends Ravencoin support
Upbit will end trading support for Ravencoin at 3 p.m. Korea time on Oct. 12. The decision applies to the RVN/KRW, RVN/BTC, and RVN/USDT markets, according to the exchange’s notice.
All unfilled orders will be canceled when trading ends. Upbit said withdrawals will remain available for 30 days, until Nov. 11, giving users who retain RVN an exit route from the platform after the markets close.
Delistings often create practical problems for holders because they separate the trading deadline from the withdrawal deadline. Users who do not sell before a market closes must generally transfer their tokens to another wallet or platform that supports the asset, while also considering network fees and destination-wallet compatibility.
Unichain moves toward OP Stack interoperability
Unichain plans to migrate its testnet to OP Enterprise on Oct. 13 as part of its preparation for native interoperability among chains built with the OP Stack. A mainnet migration is planned for late October, Unichain said.
The initial interoperability design is expected to support ETH. The project aims to connect networks in the Optimism ecosystem through more standardized mechanisms for cross-chain transfers, reducing the need for users to rely on separate bridge interfaces for certain movements between compatible chains.
The testnet phase will offer an early indication of how the new stack performs before the mainnet transition. Cross-chain upgrades can affect wallet support, application integrations, and transaction flows even when users do not need to take action directly.
Dogecoin ETF enters final trading day
Bitwise Investment Advisers plans to liquidate and close the Bitwise Dogecoin ETF, which trades under the ticker BWOW. The fund’s final trading day on NYSE Arca is expected to be Oct. 14.
The closure decision became effective Sept. 10, Bitwise said. Remaining shareholders are scheduled to receive cash on Oct. 22, calculated from the fund’s net asset value per share as of Oct. 21.
An ETF liquidation converts a market-traded position into cash rather than allowing shareholders to retain the fund indefinitely. Holders who want to preserve Dogecoin exposure through a different instrument would need to make that decision before the fund’s liquidation process is complete.
Token, wallet and tax deadlines follow
Arc’s applications for its micro-grant program close Oct. 14. The initiative, launched Sept. 17, is set to award 20 grants of 500 USDC to eligible early builders who submit runnable mini-applications on the Arc mainnet.
U.S. taxpayers who received an extension for their 2025 individual federal income tax return face an Oct. 15 filing deadline. The Internal Revenue Service treats an extension as additional time to file, not additional time to pay taxes owed. Digital-asset users may need to calculate gains and losses independently when broker documents do not provide complete cost-basis information.
Sonic Labs said about 32.69 million S tokens from its first two airdrop seasons remain unclaimed and will be burned after Oct. 15, 2026. The project’s schedule allows penalty-free claims during designated windows before that deadline.
Ronin will close its Waypoint wallet service on Oct. 16. Users who rely on social-login, keyless, or multiparty-computation wallets are being asked to migrate to Ronin Stash or transfer assets to a seed-phrase-based Ronin Wallet. Ronin said bAXS and badges require a separate process through its official migration page.
AI events add a technology-market backdrop
Paradigm’s Frontiers conference runs in San Francisco from Oct. 12 through Oct. 14, with sessions covering stablecoins, artificial intelligence, robotics, and post-quantum cryptography. The gathering brings crypto infrastructure issues into a technology agenda increasingly centered on AI systems and their computing requirements.
Anthropic is preparing for discussions with potential buyers as it considers an initial public offering that could reach markets as early as mid-November, according to people familiar with the matter. Those people said prospective participants had discussed a valuation range of roughly $1.8 trillion to $2 trillion, although the timing and valuation remain subject to change.
OpenAI’s ChatGPT account said GPT-5.5 will be removed from ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex on Oct. 14. Codex users will need to move to GPT-5.6 Sol or GPT-6 Astra, a product change that could require developers to review model behavior and workflows.
The concentration of inflation data, trading-program deadlines, product closures, and wallet migrations leaves little room for passive administration during the week. Each event has different consequences: CPI may reshape rate expectations, while exchange removals, fund liquidations, warrant expirations, and wallet shutdowns require users and holders to meet specific operational deadlines.
