Blossom and Wood Media streamlines global creator payments

2026-08-21 04:14

Blossom & Wood Media says it has moved to a consolidated payment workflow for creator campaigns spanning multiple regions, using PhotonPay to coordinate cross-border payouts, budget settlement and reconciliation across its operations in Bangkok, Jakarta, SĂŁo Paulo and Mexico City.

The arrangement targets a practical constraint in global creator marketing: campaigns may be designed centrally, but the people producing content, approving assets and receiving payment are spread across different banking systems, currencies and time zones. Blossom & Wood Media said it manages a network of nearly 100,000 creators and runs work across Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, placing payment administration alongside creator selection and campaign reporting as a core operating task.

The agency said its previous workflows regularly encountered intermediary bank charges, returned transfers caused by small errors in account details, and manual payment batches that varied by local payment method. Those issues can turn a campaign’s back office into a production bottleneck, particularly where creators are contracted in several markets and payments are linked to different delivery milestones.

PhotonPay said its tools let the agency combine multi-currency accounts, batch payment functions and reconciliation records in one system. The provider said it supports more than 19 local account types and has access to local clearing rails in 113 regions, designed to facilitate collections and payouts through domestic payment networks rather than relying solely on conventional international wires.

Campaign payments become part of production planning

Blossom & Wood Media’s payment requirements extend beyond paying individual influencers after a post goes live. The company said it manages separate client budgets, creator groups and staggered payment schedules in parallel, often while working against short launch timelines.

In a consumer electronics campaign conducted simultaneously in two Latin American markets, the agency said it divided creators by content category. Technology and fitness creators were used for product demonstrations, while accounts focused on streetwear, entertainment and anime were brought in to extend the campaign’s reach into different audience communities.

According to Blossom & Wood Media, one of the two markets generated nearly 3 million content impressions, while the campaign’s overall cost per thousand impressions remained below $10. The agency did not identify the client, countries or platforms involved.

Behind those performance figures were two market-specific budgets and multiple creator cohorts paid at different stages, the company said. It used multi-currency accounts and batch payments to process disbursements through a single workflow, while matching payment reconciliation to campaign milestones.

That structure addresses a common mismatch in creator marketing. Media agencies often measure delivery through content output, engagement and reach, yet the financial process can remain fragmented across spreadsheets, banks, payment providers and local contractors. Bringing those records closer together could make it easier for campaign managers to determine whether a payment has been issued, received, returned or held for correction before a deadline is missed.

Short-form drama adds crew and production payments

The payment challenge becomes more complex for short-form drama productions, where creators are only one part of the cost structure. Blossom & Wood Media said projects can require payments to cast, production crews and post-production partners in several countries during a compressed period running from pre-production to final delivery.

The agency said it used batched project disbursements and reconciliation visibility for these productions, with payment details checked before funds were sent. Verification of recipient information is particularly relevant for cross-border transfers, where an incorrect account number, beneficiary name or routing detail can send a payment into a return process that outlasts a production schedule.

For a media company operating local hubs, payment reliability can also affect the division of work between offices. A regional production team may need to hire locally and meet local payment expectations, while a client budget is approved or funded in a different currency. Centralized controls can give the agency a clearer view of committed spending without forcing each market to build separate payment operations.

Stablecoins used for some Latin American ad budgets

Blossom & Wood Media also said some Latin American clients use USDT and other stablecoins to settle campaign and media-buying budgets, including spending on TikTok and Meta advertising. The agency attributed that use to local currency volatility and banking restrictions in certain markets.

It said it uses a multi-asset wallet and conversion tools to receive stablecoins and exchange them for U.S. dollars or other fiat currencies. In this model, a stablecoin functions as a funding and settlement rail rather than as the asset being marketed to creators or audiences.

The approach may reduce the number of steps involved when a client holds funds in digital assets but vendors and production teams require fiat currency. It does not eliminate operational risk: conversion, recipient verification, local compliance requirements and the availability of fiat payout channels remain part of the process. The agency’s description indicates that stablecoin settlement is being used selectively for client budgets rather than as a universal replacement for local bank payments.

PhotonPay cites controls across fiat and stablecoin rails

PhotonPay said its platform supports sending, receiving, conversion and settlement through fiat and stablecoin rails in more than 200 countries and territories. It also cited automated batch processing, reconciliation tools and around-the-clock support for payment exceptions such as incorrect account details.

On controls, PhotonPay said it holds financial licenses in major jurisdictions and uses SOC 2 Type I-attested systems, Travel Rule enforcement, real-time AI transaction screening and data-protection procedures. A SOC 2 Type I attestation examines whether relevant controls are suitably designed at a specified point in time; it does not measure the operating effectiveness of those controls over an extended period.

For agencies, the appeal of these systems is less about replacing every bank relationship than reducing the administrative fragmentation created by multi-market work. A campaign involving creators in Jakarta, production vendors in SĂŁo Paulo and a client budget funded elsewhere can generate a chain of approvals and transfers that moves separately from the content schedule.

Blossom & Wood Media’s rollout shows how payment infrastructure is becoming embedded in creator operations, particularly for agencies that treat regional execution as a permanent model rather than a series of isolated campaigns. The test will be whether consolidated payout and reconciliation systems can preserve local flexibility while giving finance and campaign teams a shared record of where every budgeted payment stands.
