AI meme token reaches $100 million market cap

2026-08-28 11:01

AIMemeETHBNB

AI, a meme token trading on Robinhood Chain, briefly reached a market capitalization of $100 million after climbing nearly tenfold in a week, according to the figures provided. Its rise has drawn attention to a trading structure that pairs highly speculative tokens with tokenized equities: AI’s main liquidity pool is quoted against a tokenized Nvidia asset, NVDA, rather than ETH or another conventional crypto asset.

The arrangement routes meme-token trading into demand for the NVDA token used in the pool. It does not give AI holders a direct claim on Nvidia shares or create a 1:1 redemption relationship between AI and the stock token. Instead, NVDA functions as the unit of account and the other side of the liquidity pair, meaning AI’s price is expressed in fractions of an NVDA token share.

AI’s community has also established a treasury that receives creator fees and 50% of trading fees for buybacks and token burns. The project says 0.82% of AI’s total supply has already been burned. Those mechanisms can reduce circulating supply, although their impact depends on sustained trading volume and on how the treasury executes its purchases.

NVDA became the route into a meme-token pool

The pool structure differs from the standard model used by many meme tokens, where a token is paired with ETH, SOL, BNB, or a stablecoin. Under LONG’s coin-stock pairing system, an issuer selects a tokenized stock as the paired asset. Available examples cited in the material include NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, SPCX, MSFT, and TSM.

For AI, the choice of NVDA has made a token linked to Nvidia’s stock price the asset traders need to access the meme token’s liquidity. Trades are completed in the background by converting ETH into the selected stock token and then swapping that token for the meme coin. Creator fees are also paid in the stock token rather than ETH.

That design can generate stock-token volume without requiring traders to arrive specifically to trade tokenized equities. A user seeking AI exposure is, at the protocol level, also creating transactions involving NVDA. The relationship works through liquidity-pool mechanics rather than through ownership of Nvidia equity by the meme-token holder.

The AI token’s early distribution was connected to LONG, a meme-token launchpad on Robinhood Chain. LONG used the coin-stock pairing model for the launch and distributed NVDA tokens to early AI holders through an airdrop, according to the material.

LONG captures a measurable share of meme-token trading

Dune data cited in the report places meme tokens issued through LONG third on Robinhood Chain by daily trading volume, behind Pons and noxa. LONG-issued tokens accounted for 8.5% of daily meme-token trading volume on the chain, the data shows.

LONG’s output of newly created tokens remained behind Flap and Pons, indicating that its market position has relied more on trading activity in its existing launches than on leading the chain in raw issuance. That distinction matters for a platform built around liquidity pairing: repeated transactions through a smaller collection of active pools can create more stock-token turnover than a larger number of inactive launches.

Within LONG’s stock-token activity, NVDA has become the dominant asset. The material states that trading volume involving NVDA through LONG exceeded $94 million and represented more than 53% of the launchpad’s total stock-token volume. LONG also reported that 23% of the NVDA supply on Robinhood Chain had been locked in the AI community treasury.

The reported treasury figure should be read as a measure of the token’s on-chain allocation within this ecosystem, rather than as an indication that the treasury controls an equivalent portion of Nvidia’s conventional shares.

Meme trading adds to Robinhood Chain’s RWA activity

Dune data cited in the material puts Robinhood Chain’s circulating real-world asset value at roughly $45.40 million across 202 RWA assets. Trading connected to coin-stock-paired meme tokens accounted for about 34% of total RWA trading volume, making it the second-largest reported source of RWA activity on the network.

The figures show how tokenized-stock liquidity can be pulled into crypto-native speculation. Rather than relying solely on users who want to trade synthetic or tokenized representations of public equities, the model places those assets inside meme-token markets, where trading is often driven by community attention, incentives, and rapid price moves.

Robinhood chief executive Vlad Tenev said the company’s team had not anticipated the level of meme-token activity or the resulting demand for stock-token liquidity. In the interview cited in the material, Tenev attributed the outcome to products that connect meme tokens, mainstream crypto assets, and tokenized stocks in combined structures.

Leveraged stock tokens are the next proposed step

LONG plans to introduce LongX, a product intended to let users issue tokens backed by leveraged stock tokens while holding them as standard ERC-20 assets. The protocol would automate rebalancing and position management, while Lighter would provide execution and base-layer liquidity, according to the project’s plans.

Such a product would add leverage to a market structure already shaped by volatile meme-token flows and tokenized stock assets. Automated management may simplify the user experience, but leveraged instruments also introduce liquidation, rebalancing, and tracking risks that can become more pronounced during sharp moves in either the underlying stock token or the associated crypto market.

AI’s rapid ascent to a reported $100 million peak has therefore become a test case for whether coin-stock pairing can sustain activity beyond a single meme-token cycle. For now, the available on-chain figures point to NVDA as the main beneficiary within LONG’s system, with meme-token demand creating a substantial share of the launchpad’s tokenized-stock trading.
