What is the Toobit Telegram group bot?
The Toobit Telegram group bot is a Telegram community management tool designed for affiliates, partners, and community managers.
It supports both public and private Telegram groups, allowing you to choose the group type that best fits your community.
What can the Telegram group bot do?
With the Toobit Telegram group bot, you can:
1. Automatically verify user eligibility
Users submit their Toobit UID to the bot, and the system checks whether they meet the requirements you have configured. Eligible users will automatically be granted access to the group.
2. Manage group members
The bot continuously checks whether existing group members meet your configured requirements. Users who no longer meet the requirements can be notified or automatically removed based on your settings.
3. Configure flexible group rules
You can set different entry and retention requirements based on your community management needs.
How to set up the bot
Before using the Toobit Telegram group bot, you first need to create a bot on Telegram.
Step 1: Open @BotFather on Telegram
Step 2: Click Start
Step 3: Select /newbot to create a new Telegram bot
Step 4: Set your bot name
Follow the instructions in BotFather to set up your bot.
Your bot username must end with "bot", for example:

Step 5: Set up your group type and bot permissions
Add the bot you created to the Telegram group you want to manage. Then complete the setup based on your group type.
For public groups:

Set the Telegram group to public.

Set a group username and group URL.

Add the bot to the group.

Grant the bot administrator permissions.
For private groups:

Keep the Telegram group private.

Add the bot to the group.

Grant the bot administrator permissions.
Note: You do not need to change a private group to a public group. Make sure the bot has been added to the group and has the required administrator permissions before continuing.

Get your Telegram bot information
Prepare the following information before configuring the bot on Toobit:
1. Bot name
For example, toobittg_bot.
2. Bot URL
For example, t.me/toobittg_bot.
3. Bot API key
You can obtain your Bot API Key from Telegram BotFather.
4. Group information
The required information depends on your group type

Public group: Provide the Telegram group URL.

Private group: Make sure the bot has already been added to the private group. The system will automatically identify the group information during setup.
How to configure the bot on Toobit
Once you have prepared the required information, log in to the Toobit dashboard to create and configure your Telegram group bot.
1. Go to Group bots from the menu on the left.
2. Click Create group.
3. Under Community, select Telegram.
4. Under Group type, select the appropriate option:

Public group: For public Telegram communities. You will need to provide the Telegram group URL.

Private group: For private Telegram communities. Before creating the group, make sure the bot has already been added to the target private group and has administrator permissions.
5. Enter the required bot information:

6. Review the information and click Next to complete the setup.
Configure group rules and manage members
1. Configure group verification rules
Select the target user scope based on your needs, then configure:

Entry requirements: Requirements that new members must meet to join the group.

Retention requirements: Requirements that existing members must continue to meet to remain in the group.
2. Manage members
You can use Banned and Kick exempt settings to manage individual members more precisely.

Banned: Users on the blacklist cannot join the group.

Kick exempt: Users on the whitelist are exempt from retention requirements and will not be automatically removed from the group.
On the Toobit dashboard, click Members to view users marked as Banned or Kick exempt.
You can view information including:

You can also filter the member list by UID.
Add users
Click Add, select Banned or Kick exempt under Type, and enter the user's UID.
You can add multiple UIDs at once by separating them with commas or line breaks.
Remove users
To remove a user from the blacklist or whitelist, go to the Members page, locate the user, and click Delete.
Frequently asked questions
1. Why do users see "This invite link has expired" after submitting their UID to the bot?
The group invite link has expired. Please provide a new invite link.
2. Can I use the same bot for multiple groups?
No. Each bot can only be used for one group.
3. Can the bot be used for both direct and indirect referrals?
Yes. You can configure the bot to support:

4. If my Telegram account is deactivated, will it affect the bot linked to it?
Yes. Deactivating the Telegram account associated with the bot may affect the bot.
5. Can I set a custom description for my bot?
Yes. Follow these steps:
