1. What is GTD TP?
GTD TP helps protect your target profits by reducing the impact of market volatility and negative slippage.
Once enabled, your TP order is executed at or above the trigger price, helping protect you from negative slippage.
Unlike GTD SL, GTD TP does not charge any additional fees.
Compared with a standard limited TP order, GTD TP simplifies the setup process. Users only need to set the TP trigger price, and the system will automatically generate the corresponding order price, making it easier to manage your positions.
2. Why use GTD TP?
1. Compared with traditional limited TP orders
Traditional limited TP orders require users to manually set both the trigger price and order price, requiring you to manually specify both the trigger price and the limit price.
With GTD TP, users only need to enter the TP trigger price. The system will automatically generate the corresponding order price, making it easy to configure TP for both new and existing positions.
2. Compared with market TP orders
During periods of rapid market fluctuations, market TP orders may experience slippage due to changes in market depth, causing the actual execution price to be lower than expected.
GTD TP uses a limited order execution mechanism to help reduce the impact of negative slippage, provide greater control over your execution price, and better protect trading profits.
Please note:
GTD TP is essentially an optimized limited TP order with a simplified setup process.
This feature helps ensure your execution price will not be lower than your specified TP price. However, it does not guarantee that the order will be fully executed once the market price reaches the trigger price.
Order execution may still be affected by market liquidity and price volatility.
3. How to enable GTD TP?
You can enable GTD TP either when opening a position or for an existing position.
Step 1: Go to the perpetual futures trading page;
Step 2: Click "TP/SL" settings (or select an existing position);
Step 3: Select "TP";
Step 4: Enable "GTD TP";
Step 5: Set the target price and confirm.
Once enabled, the system will automatically execute your TP order automatically based on your settings.
