ViaBTC has opened a 30-day, 50% mining-pool fee discount for newly registered users, targeting miners of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Zcash, Bitcoin Cash, Kaspa and Dash through a campaign running from October 16 to November 15, 2026.
The promotion, called “A fresh start with ViaBTC,” applies to accounts created between 08:00 HKT on October 16 and 08:00 HKT on November 15. Eligible users receive a coupon automatically after registration, according to ViaBTC. They must activate it within 15 days of issuance, after which the reduced pool fee applies for 30 consecutive days.
The offer gives new miners a defined window to reduce the operating cost tied directly to pool participation, though it does not reduce electricity, hosting, hardware or network-difficulty costs. It also excludes rewards earned through merged mining, the method that allows miners to secure more than one compatible blockchain with the same computational work.
Coupon activation sets the discount period
ViaBTC said the 30-day discounted period begins on the date a user activates the coupon rather than on the date of registration. That structure gives qualifying registrants some flexibility over when to begin the lower-fee period, provided they redeem the coupon before the 15-day activation deadline.
The company did not specify a maximum number of coupons per person in its announcement. Its terms describe the benefit as a new-user promotion tied to successful registration during the campaign window.
The covered networks span several major proof-of-work assets, including BTC, LTC, ZEC, BCH, KAS and DASH. Litecoin mining often includes Dogecoin rewards through merged mining, but ViaBTC said the promotional fee reduction does not cover coins earned through that arrangement. Miners should therefore distinguish between the primary asset covered by the campaign and any auxiliary rewards credited through merged-mining activity.
Pool fees are generally deducted from mining rewards before miners receive their settlement. A 50% reduction in that charge would increase the portion of gross mining income retained by an eligible account during the coupon’s active period, although the financial result depends on the pool’s regular fee for each supported asset and the miner’s output.
ViaBTC links mining rewards to account services
ViaBTC positioned the campaign alongside its wider account system, which combines mining-pool functions with crypto asset-management services. Once mining proceeds have been credited, users can withdraw their balances or use the platform’s Auto Conversion function, the company said.
The feature allows balances in supported mined coins to be converted into Bitcoin or USDT within the ViaBTC account, without first transferring assets to a separate exchange. That may simplify treasury management for miners who prefer to consolidate mining income into a small number of assets, though conversion rates, available pairs and related terms would remain relevant to the final outcome.
ViaBTC also said users can access earnings settlement and other support services during the promotion. Settlement is a central practical consideration for pool users because it determines how and when the rewards from contributed hashrate are credited to an account.
The campaign’s timing encourages prospective users to look closely at the full pool arrangement rather than the headline discount alone. Factors including supported payout methods, minimum withdrawal thresholds, uptime, settlement schedules and the treatment of merged-mining rewards can materially affect a miner’s experience over the same 30-day period.
Customized arrangements offered to large miners
For larger operations, ViaBTC said miners and institutional clients can submit a VIP application through its homepage. The form asks for information including the coins being mined, available hashrate and contact details.
ViaBTC said its business development team would discuss customized fee structures and mining support with qualified applicants. Such arrangements are common in mining, where a large and stable volume of hashrate can give operators leverage to negotiate terms beyond a publicly advertised fee schedule.
The public discount and the VIP route address different segments of the pool market. The coupon is designed for newly registered accounts, while the application process gives larger miners an avenue to seek terms linked to their scale and operational needs.
Company cites security audits and global operations
ViaBTC said it launched in 2016 and has focused on proof-of-work mining services. The company lists support for Bitcoin, Litecoin/Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Zcash and Kaspa, and said it has served more than 2 million users in over 150 countries and regions.
The company also said it operates a global node network intended to support miners across multiple jurisdictions. Mining pools rely on nodes and server infrastructure to receive work from miners and distribute completed shares efficiently, making geographic network coverage relevant to connection reliability and latency.
ViaBTC said it completed SOC 2 Type I and Type II audits in 2025. SOC 2 assessments examine controls related to areas such as security, availability and confidentiality; Type I evaluates the design of controls at a point in time, while Type II reviews their operating effectiveness over a defined period.
The offer ends for new registrations at 08:00 HKT on November 15. Users who register near the deadline would need to watch the separate 15-day coupon-activation window, since delayed activation determines when their 30-day fee reduction begins.
