Four applications in the TRON ecosystem — B.AI, SUN.io, JustLend DAO and BitTorrent — added MetaMask connectivity on Sept. 10, giving MetaMask users a single wallet interface for trading, lending, staking, storage and cross-chain functions built around TRON-based assets.
The integrations reduce the need for users to move between separate wallet extensions when accessing those applications. MetaMask users can now connect directly to the services, manage TRON assets, send tokens including TRX and USDT, and execute supported swaps from the wallet interface, according to the applications’ announcements.
The rollout places some of TRON’s largest decentralized-finance services in front of MetaMask’s established user base, while also making MetaMask more practical for people who already hold or use TRON-based tokens. Its immediate effect will depend on how many users choose to connect and whether the applications can offer a smooth experience across wallet, network and smart-contract interactions.
Lending and liquidity services become accessible through MetaMask
JustLend DAO said the connection gives MetaMask users access to its borrowing, lending, staking and energy rental services. On TRON, energy is a network resource consumed when users execute smart-contract transactions; renting it can help users avoid or reduce transaction costs paid in TRX.
The protocol reported more than $7 billion in total value locked, a common DeFi measure representing assets deposited into smart contracts. JustLend DAO listed TRX, BTT, JST, NFT, USDT, TUSD and USDD among the tokens supported in its markets.
JustLend’s size means the MetaMask integration reaches beyond a basic wallet connection. Users would be able to deposit assets into lending markets, borrow against collateral where supported, or use staking products without first transferring their activity to a separate TRON-specific wallet.
SUN.io, a decentralized exchange and liquidity platform, said it had more than $650 million in total value locked across more than 26,000 liquidity pools. MetaMask users can access its SunSwap V4 automated market maker, which allows users to exchange supported assets through liquidity pools rather than conventional order books.
SunSwap V4 uses programmable hooks, a feature that lets developers add specified logic around liquidity pools. Depending on how developers deploy them, hooks can support features such as tailored fee rules, liquidity incentives or other pool-level functions. The MetaMask connection gives users a route into those pools through the same wallet used for other compatible blockchain activity.
The practical value of the integrations will be strongest for users who previously held assets on Ethereum-compatible networks and regarded TRON applications as requiring a separate wallet setup. A single interface does not eliminate blockchain-specific costs or smart-contract risks, but it can remove an operational barrier that has often fragmented activity between ecosystems.
B.AI brings agent-payment tools into the wallet flow
B.AI said its MetaMask access extends its infrastructure for AI agents to additional users. The project describes its stack as including the x402 payment protocol, the 8004 identity authentication protocol, an MCP Server and BAIclaw, a system intended for agent verification and autonomous transactions.
The connection could give users a direct wallet route to services designed for machine-to-machine payments and authenticated agent activity. Those tools remain distinct from TRON’s DeFi protocols: rather than focusing primarily on lending or swapping, B.AI is targeting the payment and identity layers needed for software agents to transact.
That makes B.AI the most experimental component of the four-app rollout. Wallet connectivity can simplify access, but the uptake of agent-payment systems will rest on whether developers integrate the protocols into applications that users and businesses actually employ.
BitTorrent adds cross-chain and storage functions
BitTorrent’s integration extends MetaMask access to a stack that includes BitTorrent Chain, known as BTTC, and the BitTorrent File System, a decentralized storage network. BitTorrent Chain is designed to connect TRON, Ethereum and BNB Chain, offering a route for assets and applications to move across those networks.
BTTC uses a proof-of-stake mechanism and sidechains, according to BitTorrent. Its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine allows developers and users familiar with Ethereum-style smart contracts to interact with applications and assets across supported chains.
Cross-chain tools can introduce added complexity, particularly when users bridge assets between networks. A MetaMask connection may make those functions easier to reach, though users must still pay attention to the destination network, token format and transaction details before approving transfers.
The BTT governance token, known as BTTOLD on the TRON Protocol, received status as authorized digital currency and a medium of exchange in the Commonwealth of Dominica on Oct. 7, 2022, according to BitTorrent. JustLend DAO said tokens used in its markets have also received that status in Dominica.
A wider wallet route into TRON applications
The four integrations cover markedly different parts of the TRON ecosystem: AI-agent infrastructure, token swaps and liquidity, lending markets, decentralized storage and cross-chain transfers. Combining them under MetaMask gives users a more unified entry point than a wallet connection limited to a single application category.
The announcement does not by itself change the underlying services, their smart-contract rules or the assets available in each market. It does, though, connect major TRON-based products to one of cryptocurrency’s most widely used self-custody wallet interfaces, potentially concentrating more day-to-day activity around a familiar access point rather than separate wallet tools.
