Qapture Investments Ltd. has launched Qapture Safe Haven Vault, or QHVN-USD, an on-chain stablecoin strategy aimed at qualified high-net-worth, professional and institutional clients seeking decentralized finance yield without directly managing wallets or executing trades on DeFi protocols. The Bermuda-based firm is offering the strategy through a controlled vault structure, while Protocol Wealth, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser in Denver, may distribute it to eligible U.S. advisory clients after completing its own suitability and diligence process.
QHVN-USD will seek returns by supplying liquidity to pools containing major USD-backed stablecoins used for digital asset swaps. Qapture said the strategy has operated for more than three years and follows defined risk limits, concentrating on established DeFi protocols and selected stablecoin pairs rather than taking directional positions in volatile cryptocurrencies.
The launch places Qapture among asset managers attempting to package on-chain yield strategies in a format closer to a separately managed account than a self-directed DeFi trade. Clients can gain exposure to liquidity-pool income through an investment manager, contractual terms and a gated platform, rather than opening private wallets, approving smart-contract transactions and monitoring positions themselves.
Vault structure limits wallet movements
Qapture describes the product as a vault: a set of smart contracts designed to execute the mandate under preset operating rules. The firm said holdings and performance data will be published daily, giving clients a regular view of the strategy's reported net asset value and underlying positions.
The manager cannot move client assets beyond an approved address list under the stated controls. That restriction is intended to reduce a major operational risk in digital-asset management, where an unauthorized wallet transfer can be irreversible. Clients may request withdrawals at any time, although the timing and conditions remain subject to the relevant investment management agreement.
QHVN-USD is being offered on a discretionary separately managed account basis by Qapture Investments (BVI) Ltd., which the company identifies as an Approved Investment Manager with the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission. The product is unavailable to retail clients and is restricted to eligible professional, accredited and institutional participants under applicable local rules.
The firm's vault platform uses KYC and KYB checks, processes that verify individual and business customers, to restrict access to approved users. Qapture said QHVN-USD is the first strategy on the platform and that subsequent on-chain products may use the same distribution and onboarding framework.
Protocol Wealth handles U.S. client suitability
For U.S. clients, Qapture has tied the strategy to Protocol Wealth, which remains the adviser to its own clients under the arrangement. Protocol Wealth said it may make QHVN-USD available after its suitability and diligence process, while retaining responsibility for client onboarding.
That division of roles gives the U.S. distribution process a conventional advisory layer, even though the underlying strategy operates through blockchain-based protocols. Qapture manages the investment mandate through its BVI entity; Protocol Wealth determines whether the product is appropriate for clients it advises.
Qapture Investments Ltd. describes itself as the digital-asset management arm of the Pye family office. It was founded by Frederick Pye, who is also the founder of 3iQ Corp. The company said its BVI management entity also manages Qapture Digital Asset Fund Ltd., a private fund registered with the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
Third-party providers support pricing, custody and monitoring
The vault's operational setup relies on several external infrastructure providers. Midas, operated by Aegis Labs, supplies token issuance, oracle-based net asset value pricing and mint-and-redeem functions. Qapture said Midas supports more than $1 billion in assets across institutional vault products and has facilitated more than $4 billion in total assets minted.
Daily portfolio reporting and NAV accounting will be handled by 1Token. Qapture said 1Token supports more than $20 billion in global asset monitoring. Fordefi will provide wallet operations through multiparty computation, or MPC, a security method that divides control of cryptographic signing among multiple parties or systems rather than relying on one private key. Qapture said Fordefi secures more than $64 billion in monthly transaction volume for over 350 institutions.
Nemean Services holds backup key material for disaster-recovery procedures, according to Qapture. Hypernative provides real-time monitoring and threat detection for on-chain activity and the underlying protocols used by the strategy.
Those controls address the operational side of DeFi access, but they do not remove the financial and technical risks associated with stablecoin liquidity provision. Qapture's own disclosure warns that clients can lose principal and that returns are not guaranteed. It also identifies smart-contract failures, protocol security incidents, stablecoin reserve or peg problems, market-liquidity constraints, third-party provider failures and regulatory changes as material risks.
Stablecoin liquidity is a large but competitive market
DeFiLlama data dated November 3 put total value locked across decentralized-finance protocols at $85.8 billion, while the total market capitalization of stablecoins stood at $293.8 billion. Those figures show the scale of capital already moving through on-chain lending, trading and liquidity systems, though they do not establish the risk-adjusted returns available from any individual pool or strategy.
Liquidity providers generally earn a share of trading fees and, in some cases, additional protocol incentives. In stablecoin pools, the aim is to reduce exposure to the large price swings associated with cryptocurrency pairs such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. The trade-off is that stablecoin strategies remain exposed to depegging events, changes in protocol rewards, transaction costs and the possibility that a protocol's code or governance fails under stress.
QHVN-USD's appeal will therefore depend less on the promise of a simple yield product than on whether Qapture can maintain strict pool selection, transparent daily valuation and workable withdrawal terms during periods when stablecoin liquidity becomes strained. Its structure gives eligible clients a managed route into a market that has often required technical expertise, while leaving the underlying DeFi risks clearly attached to the strategy.
