Publicly listed companies outside the mining sector added a net $510 million of bitcoin in the week ended 8 a.m. ET on Oct. 26, extending the corporate treasury strategy beyond a small group of long-established bitcoin buyers. The purchases lifted the group’s combined holdings to 1,167,845 BTC, valued at about $93.64 billion, according to digital-asset data platform SoSoValue.
Those holdings represented 5.8% of bitcoin’s circulating market value, SoSoValue said, while the group’s aggregate bitcoin balance rose 0.5% from two weeks earlier. The reported weekly purchase value was 42.5% higher than the level recorded two weeks before, indicating that listed companies remained active buyers despite a market where corporate treasury exposure is increasingly concentrated among a handful of large holders.
Strive accounts for most of the reported weekly buying
Strive reported the largest disclosed acquisition during the period, saying it spent about $510 million to purchase 6,182 BTC at an average price of $82,732 per coin. The purchase raised the company’s bitcoin holdings to roughly 43,000 BTC.
The Smarter Web Company also added to its balance sheet, reporting a $1.65 million purchase of 20 BTC at an average price of $82,286. Its total bitcoin position reached 2,850 BTC following the transaction.
Sequans Communications disclosed that it held 1,018 BTC as of Oct. 23. The company did not provide a total acquisition cost or an average purchase price, limiting the ability to compare its exposure with companies that regularly disclose both their holdings and the price paid.
The figures show how bitcoin treasury strategies now span companies with markedly different balance-sheet capacity. Strive’s latest purchase alone was more than 300 times the size of the Smarter Web Company’s disclosed acquisition, yet both firms are using bitcoin as a corporate reserve asset rather than solely as a trading position.
Strategy combines bitcoin holdings with STRC repurchases
Michael Saylor said Strategy had repurchased $205 million of STRC as of Oct. 25. Strategy reported holdings of 848,500 BTC and $5.1 billion in assets, placing it far ahead of other publicly traded companies in reported bitcoin reserves.
The STRC repurchases add another capital-allocation decision alongside the company’s ongoing bitcoin accumulation. Share repurchases can reduce the number of outstanding shares, while bitcoin purchases increase the company’s direct exposure to the asset. The two actions draw on corporate resources in different ways and give market participants separate indicators of management’s balance-sheet priorities.
Strategy’s position also affects any aggregate corporate bitcoin figure. With 848,500 BTC, the company accounts for the large majority of the 1.17 million BTC tracked by SoSoValue among public companies excluding miners. That concentration means headline changes in corporate holdings can often be driven by a relatively small number of companies rather than a uniform wave of purchases across public markets.
Treasury strategies spread to ethereum, solana and xrp
Corporate digital-asset treasury activity during the period was not confined to bitcoin. Bitmine Immersion Technologies said it added 10,452 ETH over the past week, bringing its ether holdings to 6.05 million ETH, or 4.95% of ethereum’s total supply.
The company reported roughly $15 billion in combined crypto assets, cash and marketable securities. It also said approximately 5.23 million ETH was staked, with expected annualized staking income of about $318 million. Staking involves locking ether into ethereum’s network to support transaction validation in return for token rewards, giving Bitmine a potential income stream unavailable to companies holding bitcoin alone.
On-chain analyst Yu Jin estimated that Bitmine held 6.0519 million ETH worth about $14.04 billion, with an average cost of $3,331 per ETH. Based on that estimate, the position carried an unrealized loss of about $6.118 billion, or 30.3%. Yu Jin’s estimate indicated that Bitmine would need roughly 55,000 additional ETH to reach a 5% holding target.
DeFi Development Corp increased its solana balance by 5,346 SOL, bringing its total to 2.595 million SOL, according to Bitcoin Treasuries. The platform described the company as the world’s second-largest corporate solana treasury holder.
Evernorth, meanwhile, outlined plans to raise about $80.70 million through a committed equity financing arrangement, according to an Oct. 23 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company said proceeds could be used for general corporate purposes, including xrp purchases. Evernorth reported holding about 473 million XRP and said it could sell up to 5.219 million newly issued common shares to CF Principal Investments in tranches.
Buybacks show companies are managing more than token exposure
Hyperliquid Strategies, listed on Nasdaq under the ticker PURR, expanded its share repurchase authorization to as much as $100 million from $30 million, according to an SEC filing. About $72 million remained available under the authorization after the increase, and the company extended its expiry date to Oct. 31, 2027, from Dec. 5, 2026.
BNB Standard Corporation, listed as BNC, marked its corporate rebrand with an opening-bell ceremony at Nasdaq MarketSite. Chief executive Alex Odagiu rang the bell after the business, formerly known as CEA Industries, adopted its new name on Sept. 29 and shifted its stated focus toward managing a BNB corporate treasury.
The varied disclosures illustrate a more complex corporate treasury market than bitcoin purchase totals alone suggest. Some companies are accumulating assets that can generate staking income, others are raising equity to finance additional token purchases, and several are pairing digital-asset exposure with share buybacks. The result is a growing class of listed companies whose valuations may increasingly depend on both their operating businesses and the execution of their crypto balance-sheet strategies.
