Kaito AI has launched Kaito Pulse, a browser plug-in that places public on-chain activity beside posts on X, giving users a new way to assess whether crypto accounts’ trading behavior matches their online commentary. The Aug. 18 release also introduces Aura, a scoring system that expands Kaito’s former “Yaps” model beyond discussion volume to include content influence, community engagement, and on-chain behavior checks.
Axis Robotics became Pulse’s first partner following its return to the Kaito platform, reviving an incentive program for content creators and community contributors. The partnership places the new browser tool at the center of Kaito’s effort to reward accounts it considers both influential and verifiable.
Pulse can display publicly available positions from Polymarket and Hyperliquid directly within the X timeline after a user installs the extension. In practice, that could let readers see whether an account making strong market calls has an observable trading record, or whether a prominent trader has taken positions that differ from their public posts.
The feature targets a familiar problem in crypto social media: accounts can build large followings around market analysis, token commentary, or trading claims without offering reliable evidence that they hold the positions they describe. By connecting a social profile with selected public blockchain-linked information, Pulse seeks to make those claims easier to examine without requiring users to leave X.
aura extends Kaito’s creator-ranking system
Kaito’s earlier Yaps system focused largely on measuring crypto-related discussion and attention. Pulse shifts that framework toward a broader profile of an account’s activity through Aura, which incorporates several categories of signals rather than simply counting posts or engagement.
The company said Aura considers content influence and community interactions alongside on-chain behavior. That approach could favor contributors whose posts generate sustained discussion and whose verifiable activity supports their public identity, rather than accounts that maximize posting volume.
The model also reflects the growing pressure on crypto platforms to distinguish human contributors from coordinated account networks and AI-generated content. Systems based primarily on social metrics can be vulnerable to repetitive posting, engagement circles, and automated replies. Adding behavioral and on-chain signals gives platforms more tools to filter activity, though it also increases the amount of information a service may seek to examine.
Pulse’s release quickly sparked debate over where that line should be drawn.

A developer using the name Ultra said an examination of Pulse’s code indicated that the extension may use device fingerprinting, monitor behavior on X, and support third-party account verification processes.
According to Ultra, the plug-in may create a device fingerprint from technical signals including GPU rendering output, hardware-model data, and audio-based hardware tests. Device fingerprinting can identify or distinguish devices by combining characteristics exposed through a browser, even when users do not provide a conventional identifier.
Ultra said the code also suggested that Pulse could connect such a fingerprint to an X account. If used in that way, the method could help a platform detect repeat users or coordinated accounts, but it would also raise concerns for people who use separate pseudonymous identities for different online activities.
The developer further alleged that Pulse may log actions on X, including browsing paths, time spent viewing material, clicks, and follow status. Ultra said the extension may also make periodic requests intended to determine whether a user remains active.
A separate concern involved third-party verification. Ultra said Pulse includes steps connected to ChatGPT, Claude, and multiple trading-related accounts. The developer argued that those processes could reveal details such as a person’s subscription status, account usage limits, or information associated with trading services.
The claims centered on the extension’s apparent code and permissions rather than a public allegation that Kaito had exposed users’ data. Yet the discussion illustrates how browser extensions face unusually close scrutiny when they seek access to social feeds, account-linked services, and device-level signals at the same time.
Kaito says verification requires authorization
Yu Hu, Kaito’s founder, responded that Pulse follows a data-minimization approach and is designed to verify identity or behavior only when a user authorizes the process.
Hu said the plug-in does not obtain full account content and does not retain raw user data. He added that external verification can use methods including zkTLS, a cryptographic approach designed to prove a claim drawn from a web service without exposing all of the underlying information.
Such proofs could, for example, allow a system to confirm that a condition has been met without collecting an account’s complete history or credentials. The privacy outcome depends heavily on which claims Pulse requests, how clearly those requests are presented, and what data remains available to Kaito or outside verification services after a check is completed.
Hu acknowledged that some permission prompts may be easy to misinterpret and said Kaito plans to clarify them in future releases. Clearer prompts would be particularly relevant for users who may understand that Pulse displays public trading positions but do not expect device fingerprinting or verification workflows involving other accounts.

Kaito Pulse places a practical tension at the center of the emerging InfoFi sector, where platforms attempt to assign value to information, attention, and verified contribution. Stronger checks can make it harder for bot farms and low-quality accounts to capture creator rewards. They can also require platforms to seek more detailed signals about the people using their tools.
For users, the immediate decision is less about whether on-chain reputation tools will become common and more about the permissions attached to each product. Anyone considering Pulse or similar extensions can review browser permission requests, separate personal and trading-related accounts where possible, and decide whether the verification benefit matches the information being requested.
Kaito’s challenge will be to show that Aura improves the quality of crypto discourse without turning account verification into a process users cannot easily understand or control.
