GTE, Amadeus Protocol and Flop Labs have each opened early participation channels this month, pairing waitlists, points programs and role applications with projects aimed at faster onchain trading and AI-agent infrastructure. The launches give users ways to join before public network activity expands, though the programs differ sharply in maturity, technical design and the benefits they promise.
GTE opened an early pre-registration waitlist on Aug. 20 following $25 million in total fundraising, according to ROOTDATA. Users can join through an email sign-up and bind social accounts including X, creating an initial access funnel ahead of the platform’s wider release.
The project is building a decentralized trading venue on MegaETH, an Ethereum-compatible network designed for high transaction throughput. GTE uses a central limit order book, or CLOB, which matches buy and sell orders at specified prices rather than relying solely on automated market-maker pools. That structure resembles the order-book mechanics familiar from major centralized trading venues, while GTE says its architecture will remain non-custodial, meaning users retain control of their assets rather than depositing them with an intermediary.
GTE targets order-book trading on MegaETH
GTE’s technical premise places it among a growing group of decentralized trading projects trying to narrow the execution gap between onchain venues and conventional electronic markets. Order books can offer more precise control over price and order size, but they require rapid matching and frequent updates to operate smoothly during active market conditions.
MegaETH’s design is intended to support the lower-latency environment that such applications demand. Whether GTE reaches its execution targets will depend on the performance of the underlying network and the exchange’s ability to attract sufficient liquidity on both sides of its markets. A fast order book with limited depth can still produce poor execution for traders, making market-maker participation and user activity as relevant as raw transaction speed.
ROOTDATA records show that Paradigm led GTE’s $15 million Series A round in June 2025. The company had previously raised $10 million through pre-seed, seed and community financing rounds, bringing the total to $25 million. The waitlist does not itself establish a token launch, trading launch date or eligibility for future rewards.
Amadeus combines AI-agent positioning with points campaign
Amadeus Protocol began the first season of its points program on Aug. 13. The Layer 1 project describes itself as a settlement layer for AI agents, software programs that can perform defined actions such as managing transactions, accessing services or coordinating with other applications according to programmed rules.
Its participation process includes connecting a wallet through the Amadeus website, installing the Amadeus Wallet browser extension, completing daily check-ins and linking social accounts. Such campaigns are increasingly used to bring users into a network’s early software environment, but points are typically an activity measure rather than a guaranteed allocation of tokens or other assets.
The protocol has also acquired Bitte Protocol, formerly known as Mintbase, in a transaction valued at roughly $1.7 million in $AMA tokens, according to the project information provided. Bitte had previously raised about $10 million. The acquisition gives Amadeus an existing protocol and user base to integrate rather than requiring the new Layer 1 to build every application relationship internally.
That approach could help Amadeus establish early activity if Bitte’s users and developers migrate to, or build on, its network. It also creates an integration challenge: an acquisition offers a starting point, but retaining users depends on whether the new chain provides useful tools, liquidity and applications beyond a points-based onboarding process.
Flop Labs seeks computing and validation roles
Flop Labs was announced on Aug. 18 by Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, as a project focused on infrastructure for the AI-agent economy. Its materials describe a network in which participants can apply for roles as GPU providers, validators or KOLs and creators.
GPU providers are labeled “Miners” in the project’s materials. Their proposed role reflects a model in which participants contribute graphics-processing capacity, a type of computing resource frequently used for artificial-intelligence workloads. Validators, meanwhile, are expected to support network operations by participating in transaction verification or related consensus functions, depending on the final protocol design.
The project says it plans a large-scale airdrop in the fourth quarter of 2026 and describes its launch as having no presale or venture-capital participation. It also uses the term “100% fair launch,” although the eventual token distribution, eligibility criteria and role-based reward calculations will determine how broadly participation is distributed in practice.
Flop Labs’ materials further indicate that early network helpers could receive a portion of the token supply over a 10-year period. The long timetable sets it apart from short points seasons built around daily activity, while placing greater weight on the project’s ability to sustain demand for computing services and validator participation.
Early-access campaigns require different levels of commitment
The three projects illustrate distinct methods of building early communities. GTE is using a lightweight waitlist for a product that aims to serve active onchain traders. Amadeus is using recurring tasks and wallet integration to encourage repeated interaction with a new Layer 1 environment. Flop Labs is asking potential participants to apply for functional roles that could require hardware, technical involvement or audience-building work.
For users, the difference is practical. An email waitlist has a low cost and low commitment. A points program requires regular activity and wallet permissions. Hardware-provider and validator roles can involve financial, operational and technical obligations that extend far beyond signing up for an airdrop.
The recent announcements also show that AI-related crypto projects are moving beyond token narratives toward questions of execution: where agents settle transactions, how computing capacity is supplied, and whether decentralized infrastructure can support services that need rapid responses. GTE approaches that challenge through high-performance market structure, while Amadeus and Flop Labs are organizing networks around agent settlement and compute participation.
None of the programs described has published enough information to establish the eventual value of points, waitlist positions or role applications. Their immediate purpose is clearer: each project is assembling an early user or operator base before its technology reaches a broader public launch.
