Finloop completes Series A plus launches Finterprise

2026-09-15 07:56

Finloop Finance Technology Holding Limited has completed a Series A+ financing round of more than US$10 million, with participation including HSBC and People’s Capital, while launching a Hong Kong-focused corporate wealth management service called Finterprise, or 星企通.

The Hong Kong-based wealth technology company announced HSBC’s strategic investment at an event on 3 September at HSBC’s Main Building in Central. Finloop said nearly 100 business partners and corporate clients attended the ceremony.

The financing and product launch place Finloop’s next phase around a practical segment of financial technology: helping small and medium-sized companies manage surplus cash, banking accounts and investment allocations from a single service. Corporate treasury systems can often be fragmented across bank portals, fund platforms and internal finance processes, especially for companies holding money in several currencies. Finloop is positioning Finterprise as a tool intended to consolidate those functions.

Finloop did not disclose the size of HSBC’s individual investment, its valuation, or the ownership terms of the Series A+ round.

Finterprise targets Hong Kong corporate treasuries

Finterprise is aimed at Hong Kong-registered SMEs, according to Finloop. The service combines cash management, corporate portfolio allocation and corporate bank-account management, offering businesses a route to manage operational liquidity alongside financial products.

The company said the platform supports funds, notes and bonds, giving users access to several common instruments used for short-term cash deployment and longer-term balance-sheet management. Finloop also said Finterprise supports transactions in U.S. dollars, Hong Kong dollars, euros and offshore Chinese yuan, or CNH.

That multi-currency design addresses a regular constraint for Hong Kong businesses with regional suppliers, overseas revenue or cross-border expenses. Companies frequently need to hold several currencies for operating needs, while excess balances can remain idle if treasury administration is too manual or products have high entry requirements.

Finloop said fund subscriptions on Finterprise can start from HK$1 and that subscriptions and redemptions can be processed as quickly as T+0, meaning on the same day. Same-day processing depends on the relevant product and transaction conditions, but the feature would give companies greater flexibility than arrangements where capital is locked into longer dealing cycles.

For a smaller business, low minimum subscription amounts could make portfolio tools available for relatively modest surplus balances rather than only for large corporate treasuries. The commercial challenge will be whether the platform can pair that accessibility with products, pricing and risk controls suitable for businesses that may have limited internal treasury teams.

HSBC link adds a banking relationship to the platform

HSBC’s participation gives Finloop an association with one of Hong Kong’s largest banking groups as it introduces a product designed around corporate banking and wealth management functions. The announcement came from Finloop, which described HSBC’s investment as strategic.

A bank’s involvement can offer a fintech company more than capital, particularly where its service is designed to handle corporate accounts, currency needs and regulated investment products. It can also increase expectations around operational resilience, client onboarding, data handling and product suitability.

Finloop said Finterprise uses enterprise-grade risk controls and a technical architecture intended to make transaction information transparent and fully traceable. It also said the platform includes an online trading system supporting intelligent fund-allocation strategies.

Those claims point to a system seeking to automate parts of the treasury workflow, though Finloop did not provide technical specifications for its risk-control framework or details on how allocation strategies are selected. In corporate finance, automation can reduce repetitive administrative work, but it also makes governance over permissions, execution and reporting central to the product’s usefulness.

A broader product range beyond cash management

Finloop describes itself as an AI-driven, one-stop “Web5,” defined by the company as a combination of Web2 and Web3, wealth technology platform. The term reflects Finloop’s plan to combine conventional financial services and digital-asset infrastructure rather than operate solely as a traditional investment platform.

The company said its existing products and technology services cover cash management, mutual funds, alternative investments, structured products, bonds, insurance and virtual assets. This is a wider catalogue than the Finterprise launch itself, which is focused on the corporate segment and its management of liquidity.

Finloop also said it is building a real-world asset technology, issuance and distribution platform intended to connect physical and digital assets. Real-world asset, or RWA, platforms generally use blockchain-based records or tokens to represent claims linked to off-chain financial or physical assets. The model can potentially simplify distribution and recordkeeping, though its effectiveness relies on the legal rights attached to the underlying asset and the controls around issuance and transfer.

The announcement does not state that Finterprise itself currently offers tokenized assets or uses blockchain settlement for its core treasury functions. Its stated product features centre on conventional asset categories, multi-currency access, fund transactions and online allocation tools.

Finloop’s Series A+ round therefore gives it fresh capital as it tries to turn a broad wealth-technology proposition into a focused corporate offering. The early test for Finterprise will be whether Hong Kong SMEs adopt it for routine liquidity decisions, where fast access to funds, clear reporting and reliable banking integration generally carry more weight than ambitious technology labels.
