Binance sets Bangkok Blockchain Week for 2026

2026-08-19 08:54

Binance has scheduled its 2026 Blockchain Week conference for Nov. 28–29 at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, placing stablecoins, tokenization, cross-border payments and regulation at the center of a two-day event aimed at the Asian digital-asset market.

The company announced the Bangkok gathering on Aug. 19 from Abu Dhabi and described it as the Asia edition of its Blockchain Week series. Previous editions have been held in Singapore, Istanbul, Paris and Dubai, according to the organizers.

Bangkok gives the event a location in one of Southeast Asia’s most active regional financial and technology hubs, while the agenda points toward issues increasingly connecting crypto markets with established payment systems and traditional financial assets. Sessions are expected to cover Bitcoin, decentralized finance, real-world asset tokenization, tokenized stocks, artificial intelligence integration and regulatory policy.

“evolve” theme centers on market infrastructure

Organizers selected “EVOLVE” as the theme for the 2026 event. The topic list suggests the conference will concentrate less on single-token market narratives and more on the infrastructure used to issue, move and regulate digital assets.

Stablecoins and cross-border payments are likely to draw particular attention. Both areas sit close to the practical use of blockchain networks for settlement and transfers, especially in regions where international remittances, trade flows and multiple local currencies create demand for faster payment channels.

Tokenization will also feature prominently through planned discussions of real-world assets and tokenized stocks. Real-world asset tokenization generally refers to representing rights connected to an off-chain asset—such as a bond, fund share, property interest or commodity—on a blockchain. Tokenized stocks can refer to blockchain-based instruments designed to track or represent exposure to equities, though their legal structure and holder rights can differ sharply by jurisdiction.

Those distinctions place regulation alongside product design. A token marketed as stock exposure may not carry the same ownership, voting or legal claims as a directly held share, making disclosure and local licensing rules central considerations for issuers and platforms.

Teng and Yi He among expected speakers

Richard Teng and Yi He are listed among the expected on-stage speakers. Teng is Binance’s chief executive officer, while Yi He is a Binance co-founder.

The preliminary speaker list also includes Eowyn Chen, SB Seker, Catherine Chen and Thomas Gregory. Organizers have not provided session assignments or a detailed programme in the announcement.

The mix of named speakers and subjects indicates that the event will combine company leadership appearances with discussions covering market structure, technology and policy. Regulatory sessions are especially relevant for a conference built around tokenized financial products and payment systems, where operational models can change according to the rules governing custody, customer access, issuance and settlement.

Clearer regulatory frameworks can affect where companies launch products and which users they can serve. They can also shape whether tokenized assets remain limited to professional market participants or become available through more widely used financial channels.

Bangkok follows events in Singapore, Istanbul, Paris and Dubai

The Bangkok conference extends a touring event format that Binance says has previously reached Singapore, Istanbul, Paris and Dubai. Each of those locations occupies a distinct position in digital-asset markets: Singapore is a major Southeast Asian financial center, Dubai has promoted itself as a virtual-asset hub, Paris is linked to Europe’s evolving crypto rulebook, and Istanbul has been a major regional market for digital assets.

Thailand adds a different regional setting. Hosting the event at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center places the conference in central Bangkok, where international business events can draw attendees from across Southeast Asia and beyond.

The choice of venue also allows the program to accommodate a large industry conference rather than a small company-focused gathering. Organizers said the event will run for two days.

Ticket sales begin with $19 early-bird offer

Early-bird tickets were listed at $19 in the announcement. Pricing beyond that initial offer, as well as attendance targets and final programming, were not detailed.

The relatively low entry price could make the event accessible to developers, founders, students and retail market participants alongside corporate attendees. That mix may be useful for sessions on decentralized finance and AI, where product builders and users often influence discussions differently from banks, regulators or asset managers.

The organizers’ agenda also leaves room for a practical question facing the sector: whether blockchain-based financial products can move from technical demonstrations toward systems used for payments, investment access and asset servicing under established compliance standards.

By grouping tokenized stocks, stablecoins, payments and regulation in the same conference program, the Bangkok event frames those areas as connected parts of a developing financial stack. The November meeting will provide a public venue for Binance executives and other speakers to set out how they view that transition, while the value of those ideas will depend on the products, legal structures and market access that emerge after the conference.
