Axis Robotics has opened two early-user participation channels ahead of its planned AXIS token generation event, reserving 0.25% of the token’s total supply for a Kaito campaign that runs through Sept. 18 while directing users to complete robot-simulation tasks on its own platform.
The Kaito program, called Epoch 1, began on Aug. 19 and ties token eligibility to leaderboard rankings and KAITO staking. Under the campaign rules published by Axis Robotics, the 0.25% allocation will unlock in full at the token generation event, or TGE, rather than being distributed at the end of each campaign epoch.
The structure places a defined token allocation behind public participation in a project built around robotics training data. Axis Robotics is asking users to operate simulated robotic arms, creating task-completion records that could contribute to the data and feedback pipelines needed to train physical AI systems.
Kaito rankings and staking determine eligibility
Axis Robotics has divided the Kaito allocation into three groups. Users ranked from first to 100 across all epochs will share 0.10% of AXIS’s total supply, while the users ranked 101 through 500 will receive another 0.10%.
The remaining 0.05% is designated for KAITO token stakers. The published rules set the staking threshold at 5,000 KAITO, described by Axis Robotics as worth roughly $1,700. Participants can qualify through a top-500 position on the campaign ranking list or by meeting the staking requirement.
The use of final rankings across all epochs means that activity during the first campaign may affect a participant’s position beyond the Sept. 18 deadline. Axis Robotics has not described the eventual circulating supply, token valuation, or individual reward amounts, so the percentage allocation does not establish the value of any future distribution.
The Kaito channel also makes social and community activity part of Axis Robotics’ early distribution strategy. The company has promoted platform interactions through its X account in recent weeks, linking its user-acquisition effort to a token-based reward system before the AXIS token launch.
Platform tasks center on simulated robot control
The company’s direct participation route requires users to create an Axis Robotics account and link an X profile, which earns one point and a platform badge. Users must also deposit a small amount of ETH on Base before beginning tasks, with the deposit intended to cover network gas fees.
Participants complete assignments from the platform’s Hub page by controlling a simulated robotic arm. Axis Robotics updates tasks daily at 8 p.m. and limits each assignment to 1,200 slots, creating a first-come, first-served element that could make consistent participation more valuable than occasional use.
The interaction system supports mouse and keyboard controls, along with checkpoint saves for longer runs. Users can drag a blue ring to move the robot gripper on the visible plane, while double-clicking an object sends the arm toward a pre-grasp position. Camera views can be adjusted with mouse dragging, right-clicking and the scroll wheel.
Keyboard commands move the robot through a coordinate system: arrow keys control horizontal motion, while E and D move the arm upward and downward. Separate keys control roll, pitch and yaw, allowing users to orient the robotic gripper before attempting a task.
The platform also includes controls designed for more complex exercises. Holding the space bar closes the gripper, while releasing it opens the gripper. In dual-arm tasks, users can switch the active arm with the C key. The N and B keys save and restore checkpoints, R resets a round, V saves a completed episode, and ESC saves progress before exiting. A sensitivity setting allows users to adjust control speed.
Those design choices suggest Axis Robotics is seeking more than basic click-based engagement. Simulated manipulation tasks can capture motion paths, object interactions and correction attempts, providing material that may help train models for robotic grasping and movement.
Axis Robotics targets a robotics data shortage
Axis Robotics describes its focus as physical AI and robotics data infrastructure. Its system combines large-scale simulation, first-person real-world data collection and human-in-the-loop post-training workflows, which use human feedback to refine model outputs after initial training.
The company has argued that robotics developers face a shortage of the varied motion data needed to train models that operate in physical environments. In material cited by Axis Robotics, the company said its network includes more than 100,000 active global workers and produces around 21,000 hours of training material each month.
That model places users inside a data-generation process rather than limiting them to promotional tasks. Simulated arm operations can generate examples of how people approach an object, adjust a grasp, recover from an error and complete a sequence—details that are difficult to capture through static image datasets alone.

Axis Robotics announced a $12 million seed round on July 28 led by Hack VC. Nomad Capital, Pi Core Team Ventures, 10K Ventures and angel participants also joined the financing, according to the company.

Language models can draw on large public text corpora, while robots need data connecting visual perception with movement, force, spatial awareness and changing physical conditions.
Axis Robotics’ token campaign gives the company a way to attract early participants to its simulation environment while building a community around a future AXIS token. For users, participation carries practical requirements beyond social engagement: a linked X account, ETH on Base for gas, daily task availability and leaderboard competition for the Kaito allocation.
