One trading pair. One direction. One position. That's how things often work in futures trading, even when your trading plan has considerably more going on.
Maybe you're entering at different price levels. Maybe you're running two strategies on the same pair. Or maybe you'd simply prefer your take-profit decision on one trade to stay out of another trade's business.
We've introduced separate isolated margin mode on Toobit to give traders more flexibility in how they manage their futures positions. With this mode, you can open multiple positions in the same direction on the same trading pair and manage each one independently.
Same pair different plans
Previously, opening additional orders in the same direction could mean combining them into one position. Convenient when that's what you want. Less convenient when each entry has a different purpose.
With separate isolated margin mode, every filled opening order creates its own position. That means you can enter at different prices, follow different strategies, and manage your positions without forcing everything into one combined trade.
Each position also comes with its own take-profit (TP) and stop-loss (SL) settings. You can adjust or close one position without automatically changing the others.
One market view doesn't have to mean one exit plan.
Your margin stays in its own lane
The separation goes beyond how positions are displayed.
Each position has its own margin allocation and liquidation price. If one position is liquidated, the others aren't directly affected.
Of course, independent margin doesn't make market risk disappear. A sharp price movement can still trigger liquidations across multiple positions. Separate isolated margin mode gives you more control over how risk is allocated, not immunity from it.
This makes the mode particularly useful for traders using staggered entries, multiple strategies, or different exit targets. Each setup can follow its own plan without being tied to the margin and exit decisions of another position.
A little more control goes a long way
There's a reason we're paying attention to position management.
According to CoinDesk Research, derivatives trading volume reached $3.40 trillion in August 2026, accounting for 79.3% of combined centralized exchange spot and derivatives activity. CoinGlass also reported $73.35 billion in derivatives liquidations during the first half of 2026.
Those numbers say plenty about the scale of futures trading. They also reinforce why the details of position management matter.
Not every trader needs multiple positions on the same pair. But for those who do, having separate entries, exits, and margin allocations can make managing different strategies considerably more straightforward.
Give it a try
We're rolling out separate isolated margin mode in stages, starting with Demo Trading on the web, with support in app version 2.3.8 and live trading coming soon.
You can explore the mode in Demo Trading and get familiar with managing separate positions before using it in live markets.
Because sometimes the best thing you can do for a trading strategy is give it a position of its own.
