August is coming to a close and it has already managed to pack in enough market drama for a full month. Bitcoin (BTC) price briefly pushed above $80,000, risk appetite returned, and macro headlines once again proved that crypto traders apparently enjoy having several reasons to stare nervously at a chart.
At Toobit, August was equally busy. From launching TIFT 2026 with a 3,000,000 USDT prize pool to expanding security testing with Hacken, strengthening copy trading, and bringing HALLU to Launchpad, the month was about more than simply adding another feature to the trading screen.
Here is how August 2026 unfolded across Toobit.
TIFT 2026 blasts off with 3,000,000 USDT prize pool
The biggest Toobit event of August was impossible to miss.
TIFT 2026, the Toobit International Futures Tournament, officially launched on August 12 with a 3,000,000 USDT prize pool and a racing theme built around the idea of “Overtake the ordinary.”
The tournament runs through September 9, giving traders multiple ways to compete rather than forcing everyone onto the same leaderboard.
There is a Race to Victory track, a Team Championship with up to 1,500,000 USDT in rewards, and a Solo Championship worth up to 600,000 USDT. Participants can also join social activities through the Rev Up the Hype campaign.
The main competition shifted into race mode on August 19, with team and solo championships officially underway. Six teams—including Turbo Titans, Volatility Raiders, Leverage Legends, Margin Mavericks, Apex Dominion, and Token Torque—are competing for their share of the prize pool. Currently, the first 3 teams are occupying the leading positions.
For beginners, the important takeaway is that TIFT is not simply about trading as much as possible. The competition includes different qualification requirements and reward mechanics, so understanding the rules and managing risk still matter more than blindly chasing volume.
More ways to trade and more reasons to manage risk
August saw new assets such as DOS, AEON, GRVT, PYPL, BITO, SMH, UNITREE, CXMT, MRNA, and more added to the lineup, giving traders broader access to both crypto-native and traditional market opportunities.
But August also brought an important reminder that more leverage is not automatically better.
The maximum available leverage will be reduced on 36 selected USDT perpetual futures contracts on September 3. Depending on the contract, new limits range from 50x down to 4x. This adjustment is intended to reduce risks associated with high-leverage trading during periods of heightened volatility.
In addition, fees became another major talking point this month.
We are continuing the 0% maker and taker fee initiative on selected spot pairs, with the promotion running through September 26, 2026. Since launching the initiative, total spot trading volume increased 18%, while first-time traders rose 25%.
To capture maximum value on every order, interested traders can start trading on Toobit Spot.
The underlying idea is straightforward: lower transaction costs can make frequent spot trading more attractive, particularly when traders are already operating in a market where spreads, slippage, and volatility can quickly eat into returns.
In other words, sometimes the easiest trading cost to control is the one you do not pay.
Security took a bigger seat at the table
August was not only about trading products and prize pools.
We expanded our independent security testing with Hacken, adding its web platform and API to the scope after Hacken previously tested its mobile applications.
Across the 3 assessments, Hacken identified seven medium-severity findings, all of which have since been fixed, with no critical or high-severity findings reported.
The assessments followed standards including NIST SP 800-115, the Penetration Testing Execution Standard (PTES), and the OWASP Testing Guide.
That work arrives at a useful time for the industry with a reported 207 crypto hacks occurring during the first half of 2026, with approximately $972 million stolen.
Security is not particularly glamorous until something goes wrong. Then it becomes the only thing anyone wants to talk about.
Recognition, copy trading, and a new Launchpad arrival
August also added another industry accolade to our growing list. FinanceFeeds named Toobit Global Exchange of the Year 2026, citing its product breadth, technology, and global trading infrastructure.
Copy trading also received additional attention, as we ramped up our copy trading offering with a 150,000 USDT prize pool, giving both copy traders and Lead Traders multiple ways to earn rewards.
Running from August 11 to September 1, the tournament featured rewards for consistent trading, cumulative volume milestones, Lead Trader achievements, and a 70,000 USDT leaderboard pool—with additional bonuses for leaders whose followers finished in profit.
Another event to note was the BTC & ETH Milestone Fiesta that ran from 20 to 30 August with 300,000 USDT in rewards across deposits and futures trading.
Meanwhile, HALLU became the fourth Launchpad token of 2026, with its limited presale scheduled for August 31 to September 1. There is also a 72-hour price protection policy for Launchpad projects.
Following the presale, Toobit’s HALLU spot campaign will run from September 1 to September 22, 2026, offering 30,000,000 HALLU in rewards through lucky spins, starter rewards, and a trading leaderboard.
Making crypto trading easier to try, share, and start with new features
To make the trading experience more accessible, social, and beginner-friendly, we introduced Instant Demo, giving prospective traders 10,000 USDT in virtual funds to explore futures trading in a live market environment without registration, with each trial lasting 7 days.
We also launched Lucky Gift, allowing users to send crypto through custom links, QR codes, or codes. With both random and fixed distribution options, the feature gives traders a more interactive way to share digital assets with friends and communities, while unclaimed funds are automatically returned after 24 hours.
For newcomers ready to move from testing to trading, we also unveiled a revamped new trader page that guides users through registration, funding, and their first futures trade.
New traders who complete eligible tasks within their first 14 days can unlock up to 15,000 USDT in rewards, while built-in security guidance encourages users to set up 2FA and an anti-phishing code from the start.
What comes next?
August has been a month of acceleration: Bitcoin surged, trading activity picked up, TIFT 2026 moved into its competitive phase, and we continued expanding our mix of futures, copy trading, Launchpad, and security infrastructure.
As the month draws to an end, September is already shaping up to have plenty to keep traders busy.
The takeaway from August is simple: the market moves fast, but the infrastructure around it has to move smarter.
More products, more leverage, and bigger competitions may grab attention. The real test is whether traders can use those tools without letting the market use them against themselves.
