When it comes to keeping assets on a crypto exchange, "trust us" only goes so far.
Numbers are better. Numbers you can verify yourself are better still.
That is the idea behind Proof of Reserves (PoR), and our September snapshot is now in. As of September 1, Toobit's reserve ratios stand at 104% for BTC, 102% for ETH, 106% for USDT, and 105% for USDC.
In other words, each of these assets is backed at more than 1:1 against corresponding trader balances.
More than a number on a page
Publishing reserve ratios is useful, but real transparency means traders should not have to take those numbers at face value.
That is why our PoR includes Merkle-tree verification. Traders can independently check whether their own balances were included in the reserve snapshot.
Think of it as the difference between being told the books balance and being able to check your own line in the books.
For us, that ability to verify matters just as much as publishing the percentages in the first place.
Backing assets is only one layer
Having sufficient reserves answers one important question: are trader balances backed?
Protecting those assets brings a few more questions.
Our Bee-Safe security framework adds safeguards across custody, account operations, and infrastructure. More than 90% of assets held on Toobit are stored in offline multi-signature cold wallets, alongside protections including multi-step withdrawal approvals, data encryption, and continuous threat monitoring.
We also put those systems in front of outside eyes.
Toobit holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security management. In August 2026, expanded penetration testing by Hacken covered our website, API infrastructure, and iOS and Android applications. No Critical or High-severity findings were recorded, and all seven Medium-severity findings identified during testing were resolved.
Because when it comes to security, it helps to have someone else check the homework.
Protection beyond prevention
Good security is designed to prevent problems. It should also account for what happens if something still goes wrong.
That is where the Toobit Shield Fund comes in.
Launched with an initial value of $50 million, the fund provides an additional reserve for eligible losses resulting from technical or security incidents originating from the exchange.
It does not replace cold storage, monitoring, external testing, or Proof of Reserves. It sits alongside them.
More layers. Fewer assumptions.
There is a lot riding on those reserves
Proof of Reserves is not just an exercise in publishing percentages. Crypto exchanges collectively hold a significant amount of digital assets.
CoinMarketCap tracked a record $221.9 billion in Proof of Reserves across eight major exchanges in August 2026. BTC alone accounted for approximately $74.6 billion, or 33.6%, of those reserves.
When the numbers get that large, knowing what sits behind trader balances matters.
That is why we continue to publish our reserve data and give traders the tools to check it themselves. Our September snapshot puts the latest numbers on the table.
The proof is there. You can check it.
