BitMart upgrades prediction market trading experience

BitMart has rolled out a full upgrade of its prediction market across web and mobile platforms, aiming to simplify how traders discover and execute event-based trades as broader crypto markets face renewed pressure.

Platform redesign focuses on faster access

The update introduces a redesigned homepage that highlights high-traffic sports events, cryptocurrency price forecasts, and macroeconomic themes. Traders can now access trending markets with a single click, replacing the previous need to navigate multiple screens.

Key sections now surface event-driven opportunities tied to global tournaments, short-term price projections, and major social or financial developments. The layout is structured around user intent, reducing the steps required to locate and act on specific markets.

Simplified trading process and broader coverage

BitMart has also reworked the trading panel to streamline execution. The new interface condenses trading into four steps: reviewing market data, selecting an outcome, setting trade size, and confirming the order. The change is designed to reduce input errors and improve clarity during transactions.

The platform now supports activity across sports, crypto markets, trending events, and macro-financial topics. Real-time updates cover global football competitions, major cryptocurrency price movements, cultural trends, and economic indicators such as inflation data and interest rate decisions.

The company says its ecosystem now serves more than 13 million users globally and offers over 1,700 tradable assets.

Tailored experience for different trading interests

The upgrade introduces features aimed at distinct user groups. Sports-focused traders can more easily follow and engage with event outcomes, while those focused on digital assets can participate in short-duration prediction markets using USDT.

According to BitMart, the overhaul is part of a broader effort to unify its prediction trading infrastructure and expand the range of available market scenarios in future updates.

Upgrade comes amid macro-driven market downturn

The platform changes arrive as the cryptocurrency market faces heightened volatility and declining valuations driven largely by macroeconomic conditions.

The U.S. Federal Reserve recently held its benchmark interest rate steady at 3.50% to 3.75% for the fourth consecutive meeting. However, updated projections signal a shift, with nine policymakers now expecting at least one rate hike before the end of 2026, compared with no hikes projected earlier this year.

Uncertainty has increased further as Federal Reserve Chair Warsh steps away from providing forward guidance, reducing visibility into future policy decisions. At the same time, May inflation data showed consumer prices rising 4.2% year-over-year, reinforcing concerns about persistent inflation.

Crypto market weakens as sentiment turns negative

Following the central bank’s more hawkish stance, the crypto market saw a broad sell-off. Total market capitalization dropped 2.6%, with Bitcoin falling below $64,000 and Ethereum slipping under $1,800 as higher Treasury yields and a stronger U.S. dollar tightened liquidity.

Market sentiment has deteriorated sharply. The Fear & Greed Index recently fell to 18 out of 100, signaling “extreme fear” among traders. This decline follows institutional pullback, including roughly $2.43 billion in net outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs in May, the weakest month for these products in 2026.

Trading activity has also slowed significantly. Total crypto market capitalization dropped 20.4% in the first quarter to $2.4 trillion, while average monthly trading volume on major centralized perpetual exchanges fell to $4.7 trillion, down 34% from 2025 levels.

Short-term strategies gain focus

In this environment, attention is shifting toward short-duration price movements and event-driven strategies tied to economic releases such as inflation data and interest rate decisions. Platforms like BitMart are increasingly emphasizing these opportunities as traders adapt to faster-moving, macro-sensitive conditions.

BitMart noted that digital asset trading carries substantial risk and cautioned users to assess their financial situation and risk tolerance before participating.
