Dear users,
To ensure a fair trading environment and provide an improved trading experience, Toobit is implementing a dynamic adjustment mechanism for position tiers based on real-time changes in your position value. The mechanism operates as follows:
Whenever you increase or reduce a position, the system will update your average entry price and automatically recalculate your position value. Your position tier and the corresponding maintenance margin rate will then be adjusted accordingly.
Here's an example with BTC:
Original position:
-
Position size: 1.5 BTC
-
Average entry price: 90,000 USDT
-
Position value = 1.5 × 90,000 = 135,000 USDT
At this level, the user falls under Tier 2, with a maintenance margin rate of 0.28%.
-
If the user adds 1 BTC at 92,000 USDT, the updated position becomes:
Position size: 2.5 BTC
Average entry price: 90,800 USDT
Position value: 2.5 × 90,800 = 227,000 USDT
With both the position size and average entry price adjusted, the new position value moves the user from Tier 2 to Tier 3, where the maintenance margin rate is 0.33%.
-
If the user closes 1 BTC at 91,000 USDT, the updated position becomes:
Position size: 0.5 BTC
Average entry price: 90,000 USDT
Position value: 0.5 × 90,000 = 45,000 USDT
With the adjusted position size, the resulting position value moves the user from Tier 2 to Tier 1, where the maintenance margin rate is 0.25%.
Notice: A change in your position tier may affect your maintenance margin rate and liquidation price. Please monitor your positions closely and adjust in advance—such as reducing your position or adding margin—to avoid liquidation risks or unnecessary losses caused by tier changes.
