Zcash Ironwood is scheduled to activate on the Zcash mainnet on July 28, 2026, at block height 3,428,143.

This is more than another date on the crypto calendar.

The upgrade follows the disclosure of a vulnerability in the Orchard pool that could have allowed counterfeit ZEC to be minted. Because of Zcash's privacy design, however, the project cannot determine whether the vulnerability was exploited before remediation.
