That’s why we recently partnered with Hacken, a premier Web3 cybersecurity auditor, to conduct rigorous penetration tests on our iOS and Android mobile applications.
We opened our doors to let their experts probe our defenses, and today, we want to share the process and results with you.
Hacken's assessment of Toobit
Hacken’s team conducted what’s known as a "gray box" assessment.
This means their team had partial knowledge of our systems, allowing them to simulate a realistic attack from a knowledgeable actor; a far more thorough test than a blind assessment. Their goal was to identify and mitigate any potential vulnerabilities in the apps you use every day.
Across both platforms, the audit surfaced 13 findings. We’re pleased to report that the majority were classified as minor issues. More importantly, transparency is only useful when paired with action.
Our development team promptly addressed and resolved these findings, strengthening our applications based on Hacken's expert feedback. This process of testing, identifying, and hardening is a continuous cycle, not a one-time event.
Security as our foundation
This successful audit doesn't exist in a vacuum. It serves as an external validation of our existing, multi-layered security framework, which we call our Bee-Safe technology.
A core component of this system is our verifiable Proof of Reserves (PoR). We ensure 1:1 asset backing for all traders from the moment you deposit funds. This functionality is built into the architecture of our exchange.
Navigating a cryptic industry
The need for relentless diligence has never been greater. According to Hacken's 2025 Half-Year Web3 Security Report, a staggering $3.1 billion in digital assets were lost to hacks and exploits in the first six months of this year. That figure has already eclipsed the total for all of 2024.
This stark reality is why we don't just talk about security. We actively and continuously invest in it. Proactive audits, robust internal protocols, and transparent reserves are essential components for creating a trading environment where you can have peace of mind.
