If you see the word fee on Toobit, it does not always refer to the same thing. Funding fees, withdrawal fees, and deposit fees apply in different situations, are calculated differently, and are handled differently.
In simple terms:
-
Funding fees apply when you hold an eligible perpetual futures position through a funding settlement time.
-
Withdrawal fees apply when you move crypto out of Toobit. The amount can vary depending on the asset and network.
-
Deposit fees are not charged by Toobit for standard crypto deposits, although the platform you send from or the blockchain network may charge its own fee.
Funding fees are part of perpetual futures trading
Funding fees are different from trading fees. They are not a standard service charge from Toobit. In perpetual futures, funding is a payment exchanged between traders on opposite sides of the market.
As explained in the guide to how funding fees are calculated in futures trading, the payment depends on the funding rate and the direction of the position.

Toobit calculates and settles the payment, but the funding itself is exchanged between the two sides of the contract. It is separate from both deposit and withdrawal fees.
Funding only matters when you hold an eligible perpetual position through a funding settlement. If you are not trading perpetual futures, funding does not apply.
Withdrawal fees apply when you move assets off our platform
Withdrawal fees work differently. They apply when you send crypto from your Toobit account to another wallet, exchange, or supported destination.
When you make a withdrawal, the withdrawal page shows details such as the minimum withdrawal amount, supported network, applicable fee, and the amount you will receive.
Toobit’s withdrawal guide also explains where to check these details before confirming the transaction.
Withdrawal costs can vary by asset and network. For example, withdrawing USDT through one network may have a different fee from using another. So if the amount you receive is lower than the amount you intended to withdraw, the applicable withdrawal fee is one of the first things to check.
Deposit fees are different again
Toobit does not charge a deposit fee for standard crypto deposits. If you transfer crypto into your account, we credit the deposit once the transaction meets the required conditions and network confirmations. However, that does not necessarily mean the entire transfer is free.
The wallet, exchange, payment provider, or blockchain network you send from may charge a fee before the funds reach your Toobit account. That cost is separate from any fee charged by Toobit.
Toobit’s deposit guides (web and app) also highlight the importance of choosing the correct network and meeting the required deposit conditions.
So, if the amount credited to your account is lower than the amount sent, check the transaction details on the sending platform and the network used. The difference may have come from the sending side rather than Toobit.
Why do traders mix these up?
It is easy to see why these charges get confused. All of them can affect your balance, but they are triggered by different actions.
-
Funding fees relate to holding perpetual futures positions.
-
Withdrawal fees apply when you move assets out.
-
Deposit-related external fees may reduce the amount that leaves the sending platform before it ever reaches us.
So, if your balance changes, ask yourself what you were doing at the time.
Holding a perpetual position? Check funding.
Sending crypto out? Check the withdrawal fee.
Sending crypto in? Check the sending platform and network.
What should you check if a fee surprises you?
If something does not look right, start with the transaction that caused the charge:
-
Trading perpetual futures: Check the funding rate and settlement time.
-
Making a withdrawal: Check the network and fee shown before confirming the transaction.
-
Making a deposit: Check the sending platform's transaction record and the network used.
-
Checking overall trading costs: Review Toobit’s current fee rate page.
The main takeaway is simple: funding, withdrawal, and deposit costs are not interchangeable. Funding comes from the mechanics of perpetual futures, withdrawal fees apply when you move assets out, and Toobit does not charge a standard fee for crypto deposits.
Once you know which type of charge you are looking at, those changes in your account balance become much easier to make sense of.
